It has been a while since I've made a post for personal opinion in Blah Blah Blogs. It was quire timely that the hot topic of legalization of gay marriage in the United States via its Supreme Court made it official throughout the whole nation. Though there has been several states that made it legal prior to this decision. It has become a big buzz throughout the world with big brands and key personalities show support and celebration to the triumph of equality.

However, conservatives and religious sectors show dismay with the result and has condemned the ruling as very "immoral" and against the rule of nature. They are also linking that this is related to the demise of Sodom and Gomorrah. There are also warnings from them about other will follow suit like Pedophiles and "people who would also marry animals". But that would be very far as gay marriage is completely different from those concepts, like Pedophilia is a crime against minors while the other is bestiality. This again opened and divided believers on their stand and understanding of the ruling.

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL adapts Bill O’Reilly’s best-selling book on Lincoln assassination

Tackling a monumental event in American history, National Geographic Channel’s first original scripted drama “Killing Lincoln”, based on the best-selling book by controversial political commentator and TV personality Bill O’Reilly, will hit Philippine television on April 14, 2013. The film portrays the dramatic events that led up to the assassination of US President Abraham Lincoln in 1865 and reveals the mysterious motivations of its perpetrator John Wilkes Booth.

“Killing Lincoln” is a film produced by Ridley and Tony Scott’s Scott Free Productions and written by the Emmy Award-winning Erik Jendresen, writer for the acclaimed TV series “Band of Brothers”, who based his script on the book Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination That Changed America Forever co-written by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard. “What people never knew, and what both the book and the film capture, is the great tale of action and conspiracy surrounding the manhunt for Booth. PAGTUTULUNGAN.ORG: US Government Up Support For WFP Disaster Preparedness in the Philippines

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) received a US$3.75 million (approximately PhP 160 million) grant from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which will be used to expand WFP’s disaster preparedness and response programme in the Philippines. 

Working in close partnership with the central government and the Office of Civil Defense, WFP and local government units in four disaster-prone provinces of Sorsogon, Benguet, Cagayan and Laguna have been rolling out a disaster preparedness and response pilot programme focused on building local emergency management capacity, disaster mitigation and protection of livelihoods.
