MUSIC LYF: Christian Bautista’s X Class earns rave reviews; three shows this weekend

Asiansation Christian Bautista did not lie when he said that his 19^thanniversary concert is his biggest, best concert to date. Backed with perhaps the best in the industry, Louie Ocampo as Musical Director, Rowell Santiago as stage director, and STAGES as producer, Christian proved that he is indeed the most important male singer of his generation.

X Class boasts of Christian’s finest live performance in his 10-year-old career with able support from his guests Jordan Bautista, Myke Salomon, Ikey Canoy, Zia Quizon, and Alodia Gosiengfiao. During the first two nights of the show, Christian was joined by no less than Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez and international star MiG Ayesa.

This weekend, Megastar Sharon Cuneta (12^th) and Pop Diva Kuh Ledesma (13^th) will join Christian. Special guests are lined-up on the 14^th, which promises to touch the heartstrings o

Time flies when you're having fun. And its best when you are also enjoying your musical and acting career. This is what Christian Bautista is having right now with his 10th year anniversary in the industry. I can still remember that he was part of Star in a Million as a contestant and from there, he made in through the very hectic and competitive world of showbiz particularly in the music scene. Ten years has passed since Christian Bautista was introduced to showbiz, but he remains to be one of the most sought-after balladeer of his generation here and abroad.  Universal Records joins Christian as he celebrates his first decade with the release of X Plus, a collection of songs which celebrate his 10th year.

X Plus includes Christian’s rendition of three of the biggest theme songs from top rating teleserye – Gaano Kadalas Ang Minsan (from Walang Hanggan), Nag-iisang Bituin (from Princess and I), and Nag-iisang Ikaw (from Precious Hearts Romance presents Pintada).

X Plus also gives a glimpse of what’s next for the balladeer by the inclusion of the remix version of Unphotographable, used during the Philippine Fashion Week. The sweeping ballad What Can I Do is also part of the compilation.
