Viu launches first Pinoy original STILL

The first Viu Original musical created by award winner Pat Valera with a powerhouse cast and a production backed by the brightest in the Philippines' theater and music industries

Viu, PCCW’s leading pan-regional OTT video streaming service, proudly launches its first original musical narrative series featuring a powerhouse cast of Filipino artists from the country’s music, film and theater scene.

STILL was created by Palanca-awardee Pat Valera, who is known for award-winning shows Dekada ‘70 the Musical and Mula Sa Buwan. Theater industry greats Giancarlo Abrahan and Nicco Manalo co-created the series with Valera. On the director’s chair is Treb Monteras II of the internationally-acclaimed rap musical Respeto. Multi-awarded screenwriter, director, producer and editor Monster Jimenez produced the series.

World Vision Celebrity Ambassadors and Advocates Unite for “One Voice for Children” Virtual Concert

World Vision’s celebrity ambassadors and advocates will unite for “One Voice for Children”, a one-night inspirational concert that aims to support the child-focused organization’s most vulnerable children and their families and communities.

The “One Voice for Children” Virtual Concert will be happening this August 29, 2020 (Saturday), 7PM on World Vision’s official Facebook page. This event will be live and free for all.

Ogie Alcasid, Christian Bautista, Quest, and the Perkins Twins will be performing in “One Voice for Children”, a fundraising concert directed by Paolo Valenciano, while also sharing their child-focused advocacies as ambassadors for World Vision.

As a Christian non-profit organization, World Vision encourages everyone to remain “joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer” (Romans 12:12) in the mist of these difficult times. Through “Songs of Hope”, the organization aims to contribute in keeping the hope alive through inspiring music and positive content from its celebrity ambassadors and friends.

Jessica Sanchez And Christian Bautista Release 'Another Silent Christmas Song'

Universal Records is excited to announce a collaboration between outstanding young singers and award-winning composers and producers for a new holiday single ANOTHER SILENT CHRISTMAS SONG.

The song will be the second collaboration between American Idol alum & singer-songwriter Jessica Sanchez and Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, both big names in the music industry. Sanchez first collaborated with Bautista in the latter's previous album 'Kapit' on the song Two Forevers. Now, the two share the Christmas spirit in the brand new holiday tune. Written by record producer and American songwriter Bryan Todd, and multi Tony, Grammy and Olivier award-winning poet and songwriter Steven Sater, the solemn yet powerful Christmas song showcases the vocal abilities both singers are known for.

Another Silent Christmas Song will be released on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, and Amazon on November 2, 2018.

As part of the Solaire's support to Filipino artists, they have been staging concerts of OPM icons that are indeed world class.The choice of bringing the songs to life is perfect for the ranges of Christian and Kuh who are very versatile, and their experience in the industry speaks for their artistry. Their concert is also the concert debut for the venue which will pave way for more OPM acts in the future.

The choice of music of Streisand, Groban and Legrand has been part of the biggest influences of the two. Kuh shares that Streisand is one of her musical influences. Christian said that Groban plays a big role in his music. Though they have never encountered them personally, anyone can see their influence with their songs and the performances they make.

Christian Bautista Launches Much Awaited album “Kapit” on September 29 at the Music Museum!

“This album is a journey to find my next music path, a challenge to write more songs and to continue writing songs for others,” revealed Asia’s Romantic Balladeer, Christian Bautista, as he was in the process of concocting yet another masterpiece.

This September 29, Christian Bautista is poised to unveil his 7th album under Universal Records entitled Kapit, duly named after his famed song. The Kapit album launch, happening at the Music Museum, will also serve as a concert treat for his listeners. For only PHP 500, fans can get their hands on Kapit while watching Christian Bautista and renowned performers like The CompanY, plus other surprise guests, live!

The single, Kapit’s success, bolstered by constant radio airplays and a spot as Koreanovela Innocent Defendant’s theme song, led Stages and Universal Records to produce the event for the OPM icon’s latest album. “[Kapit is] a song about holding on despite the many hardships of any relationship,” shares Asia’s Romantic Balladeer, Christian Bautista.

Christian Bautista To Release Second Single “Huling Harana” This July 28

Having a multitude of accolades under his belt doesn’t stop Christian Bautista from pursuing new ventures. Last June, the City of Manila and Mayor Joseph Estrada presented Asia’s Romantic Balladeer with the “Patnubay ng Sining at Kalinangan” award for his contribution in the local and international music scene. Christian said in an interview that receiving the award felt “close to home” because the awardees were carefully chosen by “those within the [Manila]

community” themselves. Aside from being a critically acclaimed icon in the music industry, the singer is also known for his character, Winston, in GMA-7’s hit television show “My Love From The Star” which airs from Monday to Friday and also stars Jennelyn Mercado and Gil Cuerva.

The renowned hit-maker recently launched his latest single, Kapit, under Universal Records. The track, which Christian describes as one that speaks of “holding on” in the face of a relationship’s trials, is the theme song of GMA-7’s primetime Koreanovela, “Innocent Defendant”. The Korean TV drama is scheduled after “I Heart Davao” and before “Saksi” on the premier television network. The music video for the said song, shot in Solaire Resort and Casino, premiered last month as well. The carrier single served as a sneak peek for Christian’s upcoming album, which the sought-after vocalist reveals is a new phase and a kind of self-rediscovery.

MUSIC LYF: Christian Bautista’s ‘Soundtrack’ hits platinum

Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista proved that he is still one of the most reliable male singers in the country with his latest record award – a Platinum Record Award for his latest album “Soundtrack.” The awarding happened at “Sunday All Stars” last Sunday, June 8.

“This is a surprise,” says Christian. “You are good at keeping this to me.” 

Christian was awarded by Universal Records Managing Director Kathleen Dy-Go. During the said episode, Christian also performed his duet with Julie Ann San Jose – their rendition of “Cruisin.”

Christian thanked his fans Christian Friends for their support to the album, and his sponsors.

Soundtrack includes memorable theme songs from the most romantic movies of all time. It includes the hit “Up Where We Belong,” theme from “Empress Ki.” “A Thousand Years” is also part of the album.

Christian also tapped some of the best female singers to collaborate with him. Former sweetheart Rachelle Ann Go joins him in their rendition of “The Way We Were.”

Perennial stage leading lady Karylle performs the romantic “After All” with Christian. Nikki Gil also lends her beautiful voice in the duet “Come What May.”

Christian Bautista’s much-awaited album Soundtrack immediately snatched the top spot in music charts, only a week after its release.

Christian had a super successful album launches over the weekend – Eastwood, and Market Market.

Soundtrack, Christian’s first album in two years, includes memorable theme songs from the most romantic movies of all time.

The album’s first single Up Where We Belong, the theme from the movie “An Officer and a Gentleman,” has already been chosen by GMA as the theme of its newest koreanovela “Empress Ki.”

MUSIC LYF: Christian Bautista celebrates birthday, sings theme of new GMA series

Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, who is celebrating his birthday today, October 19, has been tapped by GMA to sing the theme of the Kapuso Network’s biggest Korean series “Empress Ki.” The series’ theme song is “Up Where We Belong,” a cut from the soon-to-be-released album of Christian under Universal Records entitled “Soundtrack.”

The series will start airing today, October 20, on GMA Telebabad. The series is reminiscent of GMA hit Korean dramas like “Jewel in the Palace.”

Currently, Christian is busy taping for the primetime series “Strawberry Lane,” hosting “Marian,” and performing on “Sunday All Stars.”

Next month, Christian will launch his newest album “Soundtrack,” which contains memorable themes from the most romantic films of all time. He will be joined by some of the hottest female recording artists in the album.

Christian Bautista, Karylle host PhilStage Gawad Buhay

Singers-TV personalities-Musical Theater stars Christian Bautista and Karylle reunite to host the 2014 Philstage Gawad Buhay for the Performing Arts Awards Night this June 6, Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino, Cultural Center of the Philippines.

Christian Bautista and Karylle headlined musicals West Side Story, Rama Hari, and Cinderella. They were also the stars of international TV musical The Kitchen Musical, which aired over 20 countries around the world.

Christian and Karylle also starred in numerous shows here and abroad, and were perennial partners in ASAP before. They also did a few TV specials together.

MUSIC LYF: Let Christian Bautista be your ‘Ace of Hearts’ this Valentine’s date

Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, with his soothing voice and memorable ballads, will serenade those who will watch his Heart’s Day show “Ace of Hearts,” February 14, 8 p.m., at the Ace Hotel, Kapitolyo, Pasig. The show will be his first V Day show in the country in recent years.

“It feels good to, once again, be part of the Valentine’s Day celebration of Filipinos – may they be single, in a relationship, or married,” says Christian. “Iba pa rin siyempre ‘pag Pinoy ang nag-se-celebrate ng Valentine’s.”

The show’s repertoire will include some of the most romantic OPM and international tunes, plus some of Christian’s biggest hits like The Way You Look At Me, Everything You Do, among others.

Christian Bautista renews with Universal Records

Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista has renewed his contract with Universal Records last August 14 at Romulo’s Café, Quezon City. Christian is soon to start work on his next album, set for release next year. The multi-awarded singer has done his bestselling albums with Universal Records – Romance Revisited (4x Platinum), A Wonderful Christmas (Diamond), First Class (Platinum).
