The Theatre at Soliare Opens Its Curtains With World Class Filipino Talent

With the growing industry of music and arts in the city, having a perfect venue for concerts, musicals, plays and other events is something that people are looking forward. And in Solaire, with the launch of the Sky Tower also opens the doors to its newest attraction The Theatre at Solaire as a future art and music mecca that can also par with the biggest and well-known venues

With a capacity of 1,760, The Theatre highlights first-class design, impressive acoustics and lighting, and a custom-designed seating to create unmatched performance viewing experience. Also fitted with the Constellation Acoustic System, the whole theater can easily change its acoustic settings with just a push of a button, making it a very flexible and reliable place for all kinds of music and sound set ups.

To put it to the test, the opening of The Theatre at Solaire would not just have a single performance of one artist. Rather they have set up a complete entertainment extravaganza with different kinds of media and sounds rolled into a complete and powerful musical and festive number making its maiden debut.

Starting off with Audie Gemora, currently Solaire Entertainment Director start the show with a musical approach to how it was built and even had demonstrated the musical difference with the Constellation. Then it was off to the orchestra with Gerald Salonga leading the ABS-CBN Phlharmonic Orchestra with opera singers showing vocal prowess. Liza Macuja-Elizade also graced the stage with a sample of her ballet skills blending perfectly with the orchestra.

Then the pace got faster with the number from actors of famous musicals that have graced stages and are a hit with all of their audience. Musicals like Katy, Rak of Aegis, and many more, led by Isay Alvared and Robert Seña and Karylle.
Then it shown its potential as a beauty pageant venue with a number of song and dance with Sam Concepcion and the Solaire beauties making it a beauty runway. Plus a special acrobatic dance dumber with Regine Tolentino wowed the crowd dancing in heels while being tossed and turned. The manouvers came with a special LED dance that captured the imagination with a synchronized dance number.

Then comes an array of OPM songs with Yeng Constantino, Morissette Amon, and Christian Bautista turning the venue into a concert hall and showcasing Filipino musicality. Martin Nievera comes in with his hits of love ballads and his signature concert style as he also paved the way for Lea Salonga who will bring a performance everyone is excited to see.

Lea Salonga perfomed a medley of musical songs where she have played like Les Miserables, Cats, Miss Saigon et cetera. The songs of the musical was indeed heartfelt which brought her and the crowd into a trip to memory lane and amazement. The performance was topped with a final number with all of the stars on stage and set a final bang to the first public performance at The Theatre.

It was like having 4 concerts in one night, with almost a hundred artists, big names and top performers of the country made the first night of The Theatre truly a memorable one. Next on its schedule is the opening of Chicago The Musical which will run throughout Decemeber. Definitely this is only the begining.
