Drac's Pack is Back in "Hotel Transylvania 2"‏

“Dracula may be a world-famous monster, but he’s really just a family guy,” says director Genndy Tartakovsky, who helped to reinvent classic monsters, like Dracula, Frankenstein, the werewolf, and more in the hit animated comedy “Hotel Transylvania.” The 2012 original film grossed more than $350 million worldwide and still holds the all-time record for highest opening movie during the month of September in the U.S.

Now Drac’s pack is back, with Tartakovsky returning to the helm, for an all-new adventure in “Hotel Transylvania 2.” The film kicks off with humans and monsters finally learning to co-exist. “All is good in Drac’s world,” says Tartakovsky. “Jonathan and Mavis have gotten married, and then they have a baby boy – Dennis. And that leads to the big question in this film: is Dennis a vampire or is he a human? Mavis and Johnny are ready to accept their son for whoever he is, but of course, Dracula secretly hopes that Dennis is a vampire. He’s afraid that if Dennis is a human, Mavis will want to raise him in the non-monster world instead of the hotel. So Drac is going to do anything to try to bring the fangs out of Dennis.”

Thomas Mann: From Boy To Man In Winning Teen Movie “ME AND EARL AND THE DYING GIRL”

Jesse Andrews’ thought-provoking and moving young-adult novel “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” took readers by surprise with a truly contemporary coming-of-age story, packed with smart original dialogue and fully realized teen characters. Now director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon has perfectly captured the book’s offbeat humor, rare sensitivity and unique worldview in a feature film that chronicles a young man’s journey into adulthood as he learns what it means to be truly selfless.

Winner of the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, the innovative film also includes sly nods to legendary movies and tracks by the incomparable Brian Eno, including several previously unheard of compositions.  Although “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” is only the director’s second feature film, Gomez-Rejon brings an impressive pedigree to the project, having directed episodes of hit series “Glee” and “American Horror Story.”

REEL DEAL: Heneral Luna REVIEW

We has seen a lot of historical films of heroes and some were good but there are some who are too commercial and lost its touch, but Heneral Luna is something I consider a great work of art in film. We have already countless number of films about Bonifacio and Rizal, but do we mind to see the other heroes who played a major part in the road to independence?

That is where we see Antonio Luna who is the general of the armed forces of the Philippines. The brother of the famed painter Juan Luna, and also one of the key personalities in the liberation from Spain (which is short-lived with the arrival of the Americans). He was portrayed with all sides, being the brave general of war but also a hot-headed leader which led many to despise him.

Heneral Luna went into a lot of disputes with his stand, he does not want to be under the Americans and wants to unify and strengthen the army of the republic. John Arcilla played the part effectively and with also an ensemble cast that brought conspiracy and betrayal in different ways. It is also a shout out to the present time with the mentality and situation looks familiar to the present state of the country.
