Titled “#Women2023: Women Forging the Digital Future,” the event was organized by SPARK! Philippines, a nonprofit organization that advocates for the empowerment of women, LGBTQ+ and other marginalized sectors. The organization lauded Lazada for championing strong female leaders in eCommerce and technology, and featured Lazada Head of Traffic Pauline Castro share her “Equal in Digital" journey. Other panelists included were Google Philippines Country Senator Loren Legarda and Commission on Human Rights Executive Director Atty. Jacqueline Ann de Guia.

Starring Han Sukkyu (Deep Rooted Tree) as Boo Yongjoo, the only surgeon in South Korea to become triple board certified in general surgery, cardiothoracic surgery and emergency medicine; Ahn Hyoseop (Business Proposal) as Seo Woojin, a slandered doctor who is trying to rebuild his life under Yongjoo’s tutelage; Lee Sungkyung (Call It Love) as Cha Eunjae, a second-year surgery fellow who frequently competes with Woojin but who has issues when she performs surgery, Dr. Romantic is written by Kang Eunkyung (Bread, Love and Dreams) and Lim Hyemin and is directed by Yoo Inshik (Dr. Romantic 1&2, Extraordinary Attorney Woo) and Kang Boseung (Why Her).

“It was just something I hadn’t done – a genre I’ve never really touched at all. Scary movies put me off my sleep,” says the Academy Award®-winning actor with a laugh. “I’m incredibly superstitious. Moving in circles like this where you’re examining situations that the characters face… It’s not necessarily a comfortable place for me. Certainly, there were a lot of unusual things happening around us, but you keep your balance and see them as coincidence, otherwise you’re going to drive yourself a little bit insane.”
