They are here! The winning tees of Solo's His and Hers Graphic Tee Design Contest are out! It was no surprise when the recently held His & Hers Graphic Tee Design competition last November themed "Musika" received over creative 200 entries.

Solo is psyched to present the 5 winning entries and its creators! Eargasm by Gino Jardinico featuring earphones dancing to good music, equally interesting guitar graphic by Randy Pagatpatan named Gitarista,  Musikang Pinoy by Jennieca Paulene Dayrit taking us to the early meaningful years of pinoy music, all about a man and a woman’s music diversity design Rock My World, Hear My Heartbeat by John Theli Bien and Music Love and Astronauts by Vincent Mark Baquiran a vivid illustration of astronaut lovers keeping in touch through music!

Get your creative juices flowing again with another round of SOLO His & Hers’ Graphic Tee Design Competition! Following the success of last year’s contest, Solo definitely spotted a lot of talent in today’s growing generation of graphic artists with the numerous wonderful entries that poured in. The three His and Hers designs that won are: 90’s Romance by Michelle Santos, 90’s Time Machine by Juan Paulo Manalo and 90’s Mixed Up by Raymundo Perez, emerging as the official grand winners of last year’s contest with their fun and very relatable graphic presentation of the theme Dekada 90’s. Their designs, modelled by Solo Online Model Search 2013 winners Derek Espinosa and Ganiel Krishnan, are already in stores this September! Grab one of these winning tees for a trip down memory lane to Dekada 90's!

Fashionista: Manix Abrera For Solo

We take pride as one of Indie Komik Manila's member and Komikon favorite Kuya Manix Abrera, is now part of the new collection launched by Solo in celebration of Pinoy Komik Creators. His work with Kikomachine Komix will now become a fashion statement with the clothing line Solo. 

He will now join the roster of Solo's prestigious komik artists like  Larry Alcala (Slice of Life), Tony Velasquez (Kenkoy) and Tonton Young (Pupung). Solo was the first clothing brand to feature pinoy cartoonist into their collections.

With the launch of this new collection, you can catch Manix Abrera for his meet and greet at The Row Glorietta 1, Saturday 4-6 PM. They will also launch the Online Model Search were you can be the next top model for Solo!

Gear Up for Solo’s Online Model Search 2013 Featuring Kikomachine!

Ever dream of becoming a model, but too shy and intimidated to go through all those go-see's? This is your chance! Solo, being a front runner of innovative ideas, invites you to its SOLO ONLINE MODEL SEARCH 2014. 

The coveted modeling competition started back in 2009 and has been successful ever since. Yearly, close to 100 model poster entries are submitted to Solo's site , which allows viewers to vote for their fave model. The 2012 grand winners, Ganiel Krishnan and Derek Espinosa, both had the chance to play out their modeling dreams with last year’s Online Model Search featuring Tonton Young’s Pupung. Past featured collections include Tony Velasquez’s Kenkoy, Larry Alcala’s Slice of Life. 

Solo's Online Model Search is ingeniously launched with its Pinoy Cartoonist Memorabilia Series as contestants are tasked to wear one item from the featured collection and model it in their photo entries. Past featured collections include Tony Velasquez’s Kenkoy, Larry Alcala’s Slice of Life and Tonton Young’s Pupung. This year, it’s all about Manix Abrera’s Kikomachine. Men and women’s apparel ranging from t-shirts, collared tees and shorts are all dawned with graphic images of Kikomachine’s trademark cartoons and beloved characters.

FASHIONISTA: Freeway x National Artist Collectors' Series Lucio San Pedro for Fall 2013

Freeway is honored to launch the National Artist Collector’s Series for Fall 2013 to celebrate Lucio San Pedro's 100th Birth Centennial. He is the 9th National Artist to be honored by Freeway which includes his kababayan Botong Franciso, fellow musician Levi Celerio, and  F. Sionil Jose to name a few.

In the launch held at The Row Glorietta, his works is remembered with performaces by his grandaugther, the San Perdo Angono Children's Music Choir, and even the host for that night Rachel Alejandro sang his works like "Sa Ugoy ng Duyan" , "Piliin Mo Ang Pilipinas", among others. It was also the awarding of the Freeway Art Contest wherein as among the hundreds of entries, two were chosen to be featured for their line which supports young and budding Filipino artists.

The search for the next faces of Solo for 2012 is EXTENDED due to popular request! Submission of entries is extended until November 30 and Voting ends on December 2.

Solo Online Model Search gets bigger on its 3rd year as Solo celebrates and relive the greatest and most-loved comic character of all time KENKOY created by the Father of Philippine Cartoon Tony Velasquez.


After successfully launching Jaggy Tallada and Jhonna Flor as 2010’s grand winners and Mehran Khaledi and Phoebe Rutaquio as 2011's grand winners, we are now on search for two new faces of Solo to be officially unveiled in 2012.
