DepEd together with the Provincial Government of Negros Oriental recently had the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement for the upcoming Palarong Pambasa 2013 that will be held in Negros Oriental this April.
This has been a long-awaited moment to the province which have waited almost two decades to be part of the Palarong Pambansa where Pangasinan hosted last year's event. The city of Dumagete will welcome the athletes and official that will participate in the annual sports meet which is organized by the Department of Education.
Palarong Pambansa will happen in April 2013 and they are now doing all the measures to make the sports meet a big success as athletes, and officials from different provinces in the Philippines will compete for sports excellence. They also have a website and social media accounts for the Palaro which they would be providing the medal tally, live streaming, and updates on the games.
Present in the MOA sigining are Bro. Armin Luistro FSC - secretary of the Department of Education, Governor Roel R. Degamo - Governor of Negros Oriental, Rizalino D. Rivera - Undersceretary Regional Operations DepEd, Tonisito M.C. Umali Assistant Secretary Legal and Legistlative Affairs, Jose Arnel V. Francisco - Provincial Administrator, and Franco C. Alpuerto - Provincial Engineer.
