ART IS A BANG: Repertory Philippines Annouces their Season 77 Line Up

2014 would be a a great year for theater. With the emergence of more theater companies, more stage plays, the competition pushes for more compelling content and materials which many will appreciate. 

For the 47th year of Repertory Philippines, the year 2014 proudly marks the 77th theater season and they have an exciting line up of shows that will surely be one of the best theater treats everyone will experience like no other. 

Having great plays for the year like Alice in Wonderland and the Producers marks an amazing 2013 for the company and this inspires them to come up with materials that would bring patrons coming back to the stage. And the new year also brings great news for fans who are loyal audiences for the whole season, details after the jump.

Wait Until Dark (Jan 17 to Feb 19) 

A Thriller by Frederik Knott and was adapted into a motion picture back in 1967 staring Audrey Hepburn, Alan Arkin and Richard Cena.Directed by Miguel Faustmann 

August: Osage County (February 21 to March 16) 

Winner of many awards such as the Tonys and Pulitzer, this black comedy is said to be the "Soap Opera from Hell" and is on its way for a film adaptation starring Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, and Ewan McGregor. Directed by Chris Millado.

Noises Off (March 28 to April 27)

Created by Michael Frayn, this Farce stageplay is an "inception" of "a play within a play with a playful twist". Director Miguel Faustman shares that the most challenging part of the play would be he cues, and timing is everything.

Pinocchio (Aug 16 to Dec 14) 

Of course there is a play for the whole family to enjoy. The classic tale of Pinocchio has always been a favorite fairy tale that has transcended through many generations and many adaptations. From the book of Carlo Collodi, adaptation and  of Jim Eiler and Jeanne Bargy, 

Scrooge (Nov 21 to Dec 14)
