Kung Paano Ako Naging Leading Lady Goes OnStage

If you have missed the run of Dalanghita Production's Kung Paano Ako Naging Leading Lady or probably craving to have a second round of the unique musical, well there is indeed good news with the restaging of it now on a bigger venue at OnStage Greenbelt. Catch the powerful beings of Fuwerza Filipinas and Kayumangilas battle it out as well as the witty and dramatic life of Mely and her sister Viva.

At first, I was quite skeptical about the change of venue, with its staging at PETA has the perfect balance of staging, lighting and music, moving it to a different venue would mean big changes to everything and might affect viewer experience. However, all of these were extinguished when I went to see the preview at OnStage for their first public performance. It did retain the same vibe and energy like when I first saw it.

Leading Lady director, Chris Martinez did say that they made a lot of changes in staging it at Greenbelt. There are also some changes with the cast as some of them are scheduled for other projects, like Shiela Valderrama-Martinez for Madre De Dios, Chuck Hipol for Bazooka Man. The last week run at PETA was also the time the original cast recording was also launched. The compilation of songs brings all the characters immortalized with their songs.

Now they moved to OnStage, it is also a great opportunity to promote the limited edition album, and also get other merchandise like the comics and souvenir program. The new venue also would give more people the chance to watch the musical.

Catch the run that has been talked about and never miss it. Let Frenchie and Bituin take you to the world of superheroes and also make you fall in love with Leading Men Hans Eckstein and Marki Stroem. Sing and enjoy the songs and watch it over and over again!
