
The business was created by former OFW couple Miki and Ivan Velasquez who went through a lot of challenges before hitting it big with the venture. They have tried several food businesses before and sometimes they even have to have a day job to keep them running. Despite the disappointments, they gambled on the business of doing a mango-infused desserts which paved the way to the successful Maxi Mango brand.

Kathryn loves food especially desserts, yet she keeps her figure by balancing it with exercise. She shares that she loves mangoes which makes her the perfect brand ambassador. As endorser, she shot a special commercial directed by Mark Meily that will be shown as promotional videos and LED displays including all of their branches.

Because of its popularity, it made a mango craze last year where lines remain long for people to have a taste of their product. There was a even a time that one branch sold P121,000 in just one day and the daily average sales would reach P30,000 to P60,000 per day.
Since good and sweet mangoes are found here in the Philippines, they also help local farmers from Davao where they source their mangoes. With the growth of the company also mean they also help the local farming industry. They will be opening more branches this year as customers are now also requesting to open more stores in the Visayas and Mindanao regions.
