Korean products are significantly cheaper than their western counterparts because manufacturing costs are lower in Korea. There are many skilled Filipinos also working in this tiger country and enjoying their stay. There is also stiff competition between companies to offer the “best for less”.
Beauty-obsessed Koreans are always on the lookout for the next “Big Thing” in skincare. Same as Filipinos who have an extra income to provide good skincare for them, some will use the Korean products as it’s known for quality and effectiveness.
Philippines Korea Economic Council (PhilKorec) members visited the manufacturing plant and meet the Chief Executive Officer, Basilio S.W. Park who presented some of the products and discuss their technology and innovation.

Grace Bondad Nicolas), Rising Tigers Magazine Inc (Andria Terese Nicolas), Pantheon Holdings (Brian Poe Llamanzares), SPD Jobs (Sarah Mateo), ADM & Partners Data Privacy and Consulting Inc. (Atty. Arnel Mateo), Yupangco Group (Robert Laurel Yupangco), SGV & Co (Fabian Delos Santos) and Ahead Learning Systems (Rossana Llenado) among others with the assistance of Philippine Embassy in Korea.
The members of PhilKorec receives products from SD Biotechnologies with samples applied by Chairman Robert Laurel Yupangco who visited the night market in Myeongdong and enjoyed to know the affordable prices of skincare in Korea.
Through the company’s innovative ideas and R&D based on skin science, They would like to make the world brighter and more beautiful. In addition, by reinventing both inner and outer beauty, SD Biotechnologies will spread the unique vision across the world.
