As part of the Great Tokyo Adventure experience, let's go to a Pokémon Center in Tokyo. Actually, there are 3 known locations in Tokyo, but as I went through my Ginza tour, I decided to go to the Pokémon Center Tokyo DX which is nearby.
Located in Nihombashi Takashimaya Shopping Center in Chuo City Tokyo, this is one of the biggest Pokémon centers I have ever been and definitely a place any Pokémon fan should never miss when in Tokyo. The Pokémon Center can be reached by walking from Nihombashi train station of Tokyo Metro Ginza and Tozai Line.
At the entrance, you will be greeted by a large Snorlax with Pikachu and Mew. There is also a large wall that shows the milestones of Pokémon throughout the years which also serves as a buffer zone for the long lines as it is visited by many people every day. You will also be greeted by the Gen 9 starters, Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly (Nyahoja, Hogator, and Kuwassu).
This is where you can also find the Pokémon Cafe, however you will need a reservation if you want to dine in. They do serve aesthetically pleasing and Instagram-worthy Pokémon-inspired menu.
This is probably the Pokémon Center with the biggest collection of Poke plushies that spans all generations and even including legendaries. Of course, there is a variety of merchandise like food, stationaries, games, and more.
And just in time for Halloween, they have some season exclusive Pokémon plushies and other items. The most captivating item I saw here is the Chandelure LED light. It was so tempting to buy so many things, but I gave in to the urge and bought a Pikachu lock.
The staff is very nice, and some can converse in English to further help you with their items. If ever I would go back here, I will try the Pokémon Cafe and buy more items and I vow to catch them all.
The Pokémon Center Tokyo DX is open from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM from Monday to Sunday.
