From the hit children's show of service and rescue puppies, now elevated with a new adventure fit for the big screen. It’s now the second movie from the show and has been a hit with its fans. We know the Paw Patrol is one of the most popular children's shows that targets animal lovers as well as to inspire them to different kinds of professions that deal with rescue and other forms of help. The success of the first movie has indeed paved the way for a sequel and a possible third film.
For this film, there is indeed a level up for the pups who have done amazing rescues using their gadgets and vehicles, by getting powers. This is caused by ta new villain named Victoria Vance, who is obsessed with meteors and the powers that they contain. I have seen several Paw Patrol series which made me familiar with the characters and the show, yet the movie elevates it with a more sophisticated texture as well as upgraded gadgets and vehicles.
It also deals with confidence issues that kids can surely relate to but ends well with a resolution to address and deal with it. It is probably what makes Paw Patrol very relatable and loved. Something that we adults can also take note and heal our inner child as well.
Indeed, the film was wholesome but not boring, stays true to its lore and knows their market well. It is no surprise that they can sustain to have more films in the future and still expand creatively for the franchise.
The cast includes the original actors and also guest celebrities which adds star power to the film. It stars Mckenna Grace, Taraji P. Henson, Marsai Martin, Christian Convery, Kim Kardashian, Chris Rock, Lil Rel Howery, Serena Williams, North West, Saint West, James Marsden, and Kristen Bell.
Produced by Spin Master Entertainment and distributed by Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Pictures, Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie is showing in PH Cinemas October 11.
