REEL DEAL: The Counselor REVIEW

Dirty business is indeed very dirty and bloody at the same time. But it can also be luxurious and philosophical. This is what I realized when I saw "The Counselor" starring Michael Fassbender, Cameron Diaz, and Penelope Cruz.

The movie is a very complicated web of characters ranging from the innocent girl, drug cartels, crazy sex freaks, and many other links that one would never imagine being part of an illegal trade.

The Counselor reminds me of Vanilla Sky with Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz, and the one thing missing is Tom Cruise, which is filled  by Michael Fassbender. The  best thing about the Counselor is its eye for detail, which is best seen with Cameron Diaz's character. Sophisticated, complex yet close to reality which gives that chill and sometimes pity to  innocent characters involved in the mess.

REEL DEAL: "The Conselor" Look Book

In legendary director Ridley Scott’s riveting drama “The Counselor,” Michael Fassbender plays a respected lawyer who makes a shady, illegal business deal. His life unravels as he becomes embroiled in a brutal criminal underworld. One bad choice has grave consequences.

The film, written by Cormac McCarthy, also stars Penélope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem and Brad Pitt releases its latest online photo collection.  Click here to check “The Counselor” Look Book:

REEL DEAL: Cameron Diaz Devours In The Crime Thriller "The Counselor"

Renowned filmmaker Ridley Scott whose genre-defying films such as “Gladiator,” “Black Hawk Down,” “Alien” and “American Gangster” takes the crime-thriller genre a notch higher in his latest movie “The Counselor.”

“The Counselor” brings together a dream cast that includes Michael Fassbender, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Brad Pitt.  The characters co-exist in the dark, tough and merciless world of drug cartel where a lawyer known only as the Counselor (Fassbender) is lured into the excitement, danger and easy-money of drug-trafficking, but finds that his momentary decision leads him on a downward spiral of unstoppable events and fatal consequences. The Counselor finds himself way out of his depth when an unplanned series of events lead to tragic consequences for both him and his fiancée, Laura (Penélope Cruz).  Cruz’s real-life husband, Javier Bardem plays Reiner, a larger-than-life nightclub owner who brings The Counselor into the shady deal.

Acclaimed filmmaker Ridley Scott assembles a stellar cast of actors in the sexy and gritty thriller “The Counselor” headed by Michael Fassbender in the titular role with Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Brad Pitt.

REEL DEAL: World War Z REVIEW

I think we have too many Zombie films that usually deals the same thing over and over, and sometimes we got immune with the concept. But I have to rule out World War Z which is now showing in theaters for showing us a whole new kind of undead experience which can be one for the books.

Based on a novel, World War Z brings to life a global pandemic that have brought humanity to the brink of extinction  With men turning into Zombies and swarming together to infect more, what other option you have left and what can you do to stop the plague.

Brad Pitt takes everyone on a dangerous mission in search for answers that can be the key to the cure and answers for the gruesome fall of cities and countries. Which happened so fast and  is now threatening mankind's existence.Though I have not read the book, I think it has satisfied it with the details put into the scenes. And again, we love movies that makes you think even after the show. Now I have to set up my zombie fortress soon.
