The 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards, hosted by Vanessa Hudgens, honored the biggest and brightest stars in movies and television with an epic, global event at the iconic Barker Hangar in Los Angeles. Movie & TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED, hosted by Tayshia Adams, took place immediately following, celebrating the jaw-dropping, no-rules, drama-filled moments from reality television. In Southeast Asia, the two awards shows will premiere this Wednesday, June 8, starting 7pm (TH, WIB), 8pm (SG, PH) and 9pm (MY) on the MTV Asia channel.

The New Spider-Man Movie Has an Official Title

Columbia Pictures has just revealed the official title of the newest Spider-Man live-action film: Spider-Man: No Way Home, coming to Philippine cinemas soon.

Tom Hardy To Lead "Venom" For Sony's Marvel Universe

Columbia Pictures has just announced that Oscar-nominated actor Tom Hardy (The Revenant, The Dark Knight Rises) will star in the action adventure Venom for director Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland).

Venom will be the first film out of the gate from Sony’s Marvel Universe after Spider-Man: Homecoming. The film will be released worldwide on October 5, 2018 with a production start date of fall 2017.

Scott Rosenberg (Jumanji) and Jeff Pinkner (The Dark Tower) are writing the script for Venom, with Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and Amy Pascal as producers. Palak Patel and Eric Fineman will oversee the production for Columbia Pictures.

Venom is one of the most popular superheroes in the Marvel Universe and is unique because Eddie Brock is able to converse and have a relationship with the symbiote, which culminates to him becoming Venom

REEL DEAL: Sony, Marvel Find Their "Spider-Man" Star, Director‏

Tom Holland Cast as the Web-Slinger, Jon Watts to Direct the Next Spider-Man Adventure

Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are proud to announce that after a full worldwide casting search, Tom Holland will play Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the next Spider-Man film, in theaters in IMAX and 3D on July 28, 2017. The film will be directed by Jon Watts, director of “Cop Car,” the upcoming thriller that made its debut earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival.

Marvel and Sony Pictures, and producers Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal conducted an extensive search for both the actor and the director. The studios and producers were impressed by Holland’s performances in “The Impossible,” “Wolf Hall,” and the upcoming “In the Heart of the Sea,” and by a series of complex screen tests. Following Marvel’s tradition of working with the brightest next wave of directors, Watts also went through multiple meetings with Feige, Pascal, and the studio, before winning the job.

REEL DEAL: Spider-Man Gets Animated And Dated With Phil Lord And Christopher Miller and Sony Pictures Entertainment

On July 20, 2018, Phil Lord & Christopher Miller, the directors of The Lego Movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and 21 and 22 Jump Street, are taking Spider-Man back to his graphic roots with the first-of-its-kind animated Spider-Man feature, it was announced today at CinemaCon by Tom Rothman, chairman of the Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group. The film will exist independently of the projects in the live-action Spider-Man universe, all of which are continuing.

Lord & Miller are masterminding the project, writing the treatment and producing the film.
