"Uncharted" Reveals First-Look of Tom Holland as Nathan Drake

Columbia Pictures has unveiled the first-look images its upcoming action adventure Uncharted, adapted from the massively popular PlayStation/Naughty Dog video game franchise.

Get your first look at Tom Holland as the young Nathan Drake and other iconic images in the stills below.

In his interview with Collider.com, Holland revealed the narrative thrust of the movie adaptation. Rather than retelling one of the games’ storylines, this Uncharted will give us a Nathan Drake origin story.

“I think what Uncharted offers that most video games films don’t is that it’s an origin story to the games,” Holland says. “So if you played the games, you haven’t seen what’s going to happen in the film. And if you haven’t played the games, you’re going to enjoy the film because it’s information that everyone else is getting at the same time.”

Brave, protective and wildly loyal to his mates, Jip is just the guard dog for the job.

The Tom Holland-starrer also bested the opening weekend grosses of recent super hero titles Black Panther (P251.6-M) and Aquaman (P230.5-M).

Spider-Fans Will Not Feel Far From Home With The Special Fan Event.

With just a few days before Spider-Man Far From Home opens in cinemas, and we were just fresh from the hype brought to us by Avengers Endgame. SM Cinema recently unveiled their special exhibit for the friendly neighborhood web-slinger at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium. This enabled fans and mall goers to see the vast display and activities that they can do to immerse themselves in the world of Peter Parker and the friends and foes around him.

The Ultimate Spidey Fan Event runs from June 28 to July 3 with different stations where they can do a lot of "spidey" things like hanging around their upside down photo booths, take a group photo with the characters of Far From Home. There are also displays of different Spider-Man collection and artworks. Among them was the special artwork made by steampunk artist Ram Mallari.

"Far From Home" -- A New World, A New "Spider-Man"?

Columbia Pictures’ Spider-Man: Far From Home brings together humor, heart, scale, and everything you love about Spider-Man and the MARVEL Cinematic Universe (MCU).

(Watch the film’s new TV Spot at https://youtu.be/CVFS2OPJoSg.)

Says director Jon Watts, who previously helmed the blockbuster Spider-Man: Homecoming and, before that, the acclaimed independent drama Cop Car: “We were always looking for a way to deal with some very emotional themes while remaining true to the tone we set in Spider-Man: Homecoming.”

“This next Spider-Man adventure takes place soon after and fits right in to the events of Avengers: Endgame,” says producer Kevin Feige.  “Peter and the world are dealing with the loss of Iron Man, and Peter just wants to take a break to be a regular teenager.  But Spider-Man can’t be a regular teenager – he has responsibilities toward the world, especially now.  So when Nick Fury tracks him down on his summer vacation to deal with a new threat, that’s what Peter will have to face – is he ready to step up?”

Avengers: Infinity War - Epic In All Proportions!

We have been waiting for almost a decade for an epic movie that would make new records at the box office and Avengers: Infinity War is that movie. As #ThanosDemandsYourSilence, we like to make this review spoiler free as respect for its filmmakers, fans, and even regular movie goers and of course it is the right thing to do.

A quick recap of the last few movies shows the direction going to this movie. The pivotal Civil War tested the Avengers with members in great conflict with their principle. Of course there is Spider-Man Homecoming that brings the spider hero finally part of the MCU. Black Panther is the last film to complete the roster of heroes who is set to face the biggest threat that comes from space, Thanos. From the earlier Avengers movies, his appearance has already hyped fans for the future encounter. But it was not immediate and we only see him in post-credits. Now he has arrived and we have mixed emotions.

True to Marvel Cinematic Universe fashion, action and comedy is the main reason why we love the film. Yet there have been also some dramatic scenes that were also yet incredibly moving, as certain death/s are imminent. The race to the infinity stones has never been so very tense as the objective of obtaining them would come with a heavy price and various ways of fighting.

REEL DEAL: Spider-Man: Homecoming REVIEW and How To Win Tickets!

We have been waiting for this Spidey movie for quite some time now and we finally have it. Even there has been a number of movies played by Tobbey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield, we now have Tom Holland to play the role of Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

He already debuted in Captain America: Civil War and was expected to have his own movie, but after that fans were quite worried that the story will be another reboot with Uncle Ben dying again.  The people behind the MCU assured that this won't happen again as they knew they have to stick to their own timeline which leads into bigger movies like 'Infinity War'.

Spider-Man Homecoming is also a great collaboration for Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures which is a progressive step to bring the Marvel characters into the same cinematic universe which made fans really happy. Tom Holland as the new Spider-Man is indeed great for his role and had that feel of an awkward teenager and a juvenile superhero.

Iron Man had just the right exposure for the film to set the story, emotions, and punch lines. Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) maybe unusually hot for a "tita" but still shows a caring parental figure for Peter. Captain America, as shown in the trailers, will also be seen but not necessary to the story. Being part of the Civil War, he will definitely come back in the next Avenger's movie and also a sequel in the works as well.

"In the Heart of the Sea" Stars Future Spider-Man Tom Holland

Before debuting on next year’s “Captain America: Civil War” as Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man, young actor Tom Holland makes a splash in Warner Bros.’ new action-adventure “In the Heart of the Sea.”

Oscar winner Ron Howard directs “In the Heart of the Sea,” based on Nathaniel Philbrick’s best-selling book about the dramatic true journey of the Essex.  In the winter of 1820, the New England whaling ship Essex was assaulted by something no one could believe: a whale of mammoth size and will, and an almost human sense of vengeance.  The real-life maritime disaster would inspire Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick.

Warner Bros. Pictures has just anchored the new one-sheet art of “In the Heart of the Sea,” the new Ron Howard film starring Chris Hemsworth and based on the incredible true story that inspired “Moby-Dick.”

The latest poster shows a diver dwarfed by the enormity of the giant whale, and the two creatures seem to be engaging on a fierce staring contest.

In the winter of 1820, the ship Essex was assaulted by something no one could believe: a whale of mammoth size and will, and an almost human sense of vengeance. The real-life maritime disaster would inspire Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick. But that told only half the story.

“In the Heart of the Sea” reveals the encounter’s harrowing aftermath, as the ship’s surviving crew is pushed to their limits and forced to do the unthinkable to stay alive. Braving storms, starvation, panic and despair, the men will call into question their deepest beliefs, from the value of their lives to the morality of their trade, as their captain searches for direction on the open sea and his first mate still seeks to bring the great whale down.

“In the Heart of the Sea” stars Chris Hemsworth as the vessel’s veteran first mate Owen Chase; Benjamin Walker as its inexperienced Captain, George Pollard; Cillian Murphy as second mate Matthew Joy; and Ben Whishaw as novelist Herman Melville, whose inquiries into the event 30 years later helped bring the story to light.

REEL DEAL: Sony, Marvel Find Their "Spider-Man" Star, Director‏

Tom Holland Cast as the Web-Slinger, Jon Watts to Direct the Next Spider-Man Adventure

Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are proud to announce that after a full worldwide casting search, Tom Holland will play Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the next Spider-Man film, in theaters in IMAX and 3D on July 28, 2017. The film will be directed by Jon Watts, director of “Cop Car,” the upcoming thriller that made its debut earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival.

Marvel and Sony Pictures, and producers Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal conducted an extensive search for both the actor and the director. The studios and producers were impressed by Holland’s performances in “The Impossible,” “Wolf Hall,” and the upcoming “In the Heart of the Sea,” and by a series of complex screen tests. Following Marvel’s tradition of working with the brightest next wave of directors, Watts also went through multiple meetings with Feige, Pascal, and the studio, before winning the job.
