Dockers Launches the Four Pillars: For Men Who Want to Look Sharp and Stylish Anytime

In the UK and USA, they are called fashionmistahs—men who take active interest in their appearance and pay close attention to their wardrobe. Once considered metrosexual behavior, dressing well has become a firmly established part of mainstream male culture.

And the local scene is fast catching up with this positive trend. It’s now cool for young Filipino men to flaunt their tastes in clothes and look as good as the women they’re seeing. Fortunately for them, there are menswear brands that are spoiling them for choice.

Dockers, for one, offers a variety of style choices for men. The brand that introduced khakis and the laid-back California style thirty years ago currently features various styles for men’s pants—be it slim fit, casual/rugged or corporate/formal.

Riding on the momentum of men evolving into more sophisticated consumers, Dockers—as part of its 30th anniversary celebration—has launched The Four Pillars, a new classification system that suggests the type of pants men need for any occasion.

Levi’s, Google Team Up For Wearable Technology

Levi's is the first official partner of Google for Project Jacquard, which will apply the search engine giant’s technology to the brand's iconic Commuter jacket. This is the jacket everyone will want to wear in 2017, when it will be available in Levi’s stores worldwide.

What makes the jacket so different?  There is a sensor at the wearer’s left cuff, which you can take off and charge with a USB plugin that is linked to the special yarns in the jacket’s fabric. The sensor is touch sensitive, allowing wearers to answer or decline calls, skip songs and adjust the volume on their playlists and even access turn-by-turn directions with simple gestures like swipes and taps.

Dockers Celebrates 30 Iconic Years

At 30, Dockers is America’s favorite khaki and more

Thirty years ago, men (and even women) had very limited sartorial choices. If you were a guy, it was either jeans (or chino shorts) and a t-shirt or corporate attire. There was nothing in-between, no smart casual or business casual clothes that men could wear for, say, a first date or dinner and drinks with friends.

In 1986, thanks to Levi Strauss & Co., Dockers was born. The casual pant, specifically in khaki, was Dockers’ first look and it became the brand’s signature—smart like chinos but were as durable and easy as jeans. Dockers pants were perfect for Casual Fridays at the office or a date at the movies.

Dockers, America’s favorite khaki, is recently marked its 30th anniversary with a new campaign dubbed “Yes, They’re Dockers,” which puts the spotlight on how the brand has grown in the past three decades.

You and your Levi’s: Tell your story

Mention the term “blue jeans” and Levi’s invariably comes to mind. This is because the iconic brand, established in the late 19th century, has long been associated with blue jeans that ensure the highest quality in terms of fit, comfort, and originality.

The Levi’s 501 button fly jeans—the original and first-ever blue jeans—was born on May 20, 1873. Yet, at nearly 143 years of age, it's still as young, fresh, and relevant as ever.

To celebrate the 501 Jean’s birthday, Levi’s brings back the “Live in Levi’s” digital platform as part of its “We Are Original,” a global campaign that features influencers and their stories, inspiring other Levi’s fans to share their own on social media.

With his busy schedule, he needs clothing that’s made of breathable material crafted in the sartorially pleasing style that he prefers. He also goes for clothes that are comfortable and can be worn from the stage to a casual lunch at a restaurant.

Dockers Signature On-The-Go Khaki Stretch: for looking dressed to impress

With new technologies and trends, professionals are more competitive than ever and changes in the workplace are necessary. For professionals nowadays, multi-tasking and restrictive deadlines just won’t hack it; there must be work-play balance, too.

To attain this, professionals now are inclined towards collaboration and creating a positive and friendly corporate environment wherein employees have reduced work stress that, in turn, results in diminished absenteeism.

On the other hand, there are work-related matters that are also affected by the changing times. The corporate dress code is one. These days, employees are increasingly seen donning outfits that they’d wear at a typical night out, something that was not ideal or allowed before. While workforce nowadays may be averse to donning traditional office attires, must they totally disregard propriety and decorum when dressing up for work?

The Same But Different

After Levi Strauss had perfected the art of creating the perfect five-pocket blue jeans, he proceeded to make what would be the iconic denim Trucker Jacket.

Through the decades, the Trucker Jacket has been worn sans sleeves, painted, with flower patches, embroidered, chopped, re-sewn and deconstructed.

Guys and gals wore it. Cowboys and party girls wore it in different ways. The jacket became a symbol for just about anything the wearer wanted it to be.

Cotton Council International (CCI), the marketing and promotions arm of the United States cotton industry, is revitalizing and re-launching today its 26-year old flagship brand, COTTON USA.

Since 1989, over 50,000 product lines and 3 billion products have proudly carried the name COTTON USA. This translates into about 100 million bales of cotton spun, woven, cut, sewn, and enjoyed by people all over the world.

In the Philippines, the COTTON USA Mark was introduced to garment manufacturers and consumers in 1994.  The Mark, often displayed on garments and merchandizing shelves, has been a symbol that assured Filipinos that the items being purchased were 100% cotton, 50% of which was cotton sourced from the United States of America.

Dockers Dress The Modern Man To Success

No one achieves success more than those who claim it.

The best athletes are relentless amid failures; the best tycoons persist amid rejections; the best men are tenacious amid defeats until they achieve success.

The grueling travel to that dream come true is full of countless losses and frustrations, but as they say, fortune favors the bold, and a man full of confidence is a man who is capable to win.

Nothing exudes this kind of power more than showing up at work, dressed to take charge. A man dashed with dapper and suave can earn respect among peers just as he can shape the kind of work he brings and life he will live. The well-dressed man not only embodies self-confidence, he makes sure to give his best.

Dockers Signature On-The-Go: Fashion with a function

With great fashion comes great productivity.

In the same way that “you are what you eat,” what you wear also speaks so much about you and your body of work. Dressing up sharply in the workplace does not only make you look smart and respected in the eyes of your colleagues, but also make you feel more confident about yourself and what you are capable of.

There is more to fashion than looking good, and that is feeling good. To look aesthetically presentable is one thing, but to feel better about the way you carry yourself is totally another. A true, classy fashion sense transcends from the outside to the more essential components inside.

With Dockers’ Signature On-The-Go, fashion comes with a function. Wearing simple yet smart-looking Dockers pants in the office makes a modern gentleman feel more comfortable about himself and his craft, which makes one a more efficient worker. Feeling good is the first step to better productivity.
