MUSIC LYF: Maja Salvador Releases New Album “Believe”

Gusto ko ma-prove na singer din ako, na kaya kong kumanta. Parang ‘si Maja, hindi lang sya umaarte, hindi lang sya sumasayaw, pero kaya din niyang ibigay lahat sa music, sa paggawa ng isang kanta’.

It was not a long time ago when Kapamilya star, Maja Salvador, appeared on Gandang Gabi Vice and shared that she’s serious about pursuing singing as a career, “Gusto ko na, kaya nga ako nag-tour kasi 10 years na ako sa business.” She even shared that she was taking voice lessons from Annie Quintos of The Company.

“Gusto ko i-share sa kanila [sa fans] na meron akong bagong minamahal, which is yung pag-kanta. Sobrang swerte lang na may nakarinig ng boses ko from Ivory Music na yun nga, willing silang gumawa ng album ko.” It was December 2013 when Maja signed a recording contract with Ivory Music & Video. After months of excitement and anticipation, the actress-turned-singer unleashes her talent in singing with her debut album BELIEVE!

Tippy Dos Santos sings ‘Dyesebel’ theme

Young singer-actress Tippy Dos Santos has been chosen to interpret Tangi Kong Kailangan, the theme song of ABS-CBN’s newest primetime show Dyesebel. The song was composed by Francis and Carla Concio specifically for the show.

Topbilled by Anne Curtis, Dyesebel premiered last Monday, March 17, with impressive ratings.

“I am so thankful that ABS-CBN tapped me to sing the show’s theme song,” says Tippy. “It’s such a beautiful song – perfect for a fantastic series like Dyesebel.”

As a singer, Tippy interpreted Dati, the grand prize winner of the 2013 Philippine Popular Music Festival, alongside Sam Concepcion and Quest. She will also release her debut album of original songs within the year.

Last year, Tippy starred in the movie musical Idobidoo Bidoo as Tracy Fuentebella, the young lead of the movie. She was paired with Sam Concepcion.

On stage, she played Wendy to Sam’s Peter Pan in STAGES’ production of the well-loved fairy tale.

Currently, Tippy is part of Galema, and the upcoming movie Once A Princess, topbilled by Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales.

MUSIC LYF: Sabrina's "I Love Acoustic 6" BlogCon

6 Acoustic Albums, that is what Sabrina has now achieved in her music career. Last time I remember, she was launching her 4th album already and with a large following in Indonesia and other Asian countries. Sabrina has indeed outdone herself again and keeps on doing what she does best.

And for the new album, she is also adding new spice to her playlist in the album (album review soon on Listening Room).  She has sold more than 200,000 albums sold all over Asia from her “I Love Acoustic” series, labed as Asia’s Acoustic Sweetheart SABRINA will once again excite Asian audiences with the release of “I Love Acoustic 6”.

Sabrina has also had changes with her looks, with a slimmer and playful look, it will be something listeners and fans would like to see from her while still delivering a one of a kind acoustic prowess that charmed many hearts. In “Rio 2,” Blu spreads his wings wider, farther and higher as he and his family, along with their friends Luis, Pedro, Nico and Rafael, take a trip into the Amazon.   Jewel (Oscar winning actress Anne Hathaway) and Blu (Oscar nominated Jesse Eisenberg) are now living happily in Rio, with their three kids. It’s a life that suits the thoroughly domesticated Blu, who only discovered he could actually fly in the first film. He enjoys nothing more than human comforts: TV, iPhones and pancakes for breakfast. Jewel’s heart lies in the wild though. This beautiful and feisty bird feels that Blu and the kids are becoming complacent and accustomed to their human comforts. In her mind, birds are meant to be wild and free.

UMD, Manoeuvres, Sexbomb Reunite for Dance Concert

It's going to be the Ultimate Throwback event of 2014 as the Universal Universal Motion Dancers (UMD), Manoeuvres, and Sexbomb Dancers reunite for one Massive Dance Concert!

Watch these three iconic dance groups perform at the Trinoma Activity Center on Monday March 31, 2014, to raise awareness for Neuropathy or nerve damage – a condition with symptoms like pamamanhid, tusok-tusok, and pangangawit.
