Staying in for the long weekend? Here’s what you can do

June 26 is Eid’l Fitr, which means another long weekend may be coming up. While we wait for the official announcement, everyone’s now scrambling to snag those promo fares or bus tickets to take advantage of this free Monday. We’re not all that lucky though, so if you won’t be able to whip up a quick vacation, here are a few things that will keep you entertained without leaving the city. Some of them are even free!

Independence Day is a fun holiday for Filipinos, also it falls on a Monday which made it a long weekend for many. What better way to enjoy the celebration is with visiting historical places and also enjoy a grub or two.

Just in time for Araw Ng Kalayaan are the festivities that happened in Rizal Park. The vast space and open area provides a breather for many of the urban dwellers. One of which is the NutriAsia food truck that serves dishes made nutricous and delicious by thier products.

Harry Styles Concert tickets allocated for Globe customer pre-registration: Gone in 52 seconds

Globe Telecom has broken yet another record with Tuesday’s pre-registration for ‘Harry Styles Live on Tour’ concert set for May 1, 2018 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. In just 52 seconds since the pre-registration’s opening at 9AM of June 13, all slots allotted for Globe customers in the pre-registration were sold-out due to the public’s overwhelming demand, topping Coldplay’s Globe pre-registration record of six minutes. 

“We thank customers for their incredible reception of the Harry Styles Live on Tour concert. Exclusive Harry Styles tickets allotted for Globe customers for pre-registration were closed within a minute, surpassing even that of Coldplay” said Issa Cabreira, Globe SVP for Consumer Mobile Business.

Columbia Pictures has just released the first official trailer of its new suspense thriller Flatliners starring Ellen Page, Nina Dobrev, Diego Luna and James Norton.
