At the end of the first Pets, Snowball walked away from his life as an underground warrior for abandoned pets when he was adopted by a little girl named Molly. “Snowball was the adversary in the first film, this wild bunny who ruled the underworld of New York,” producer Chris Meledandri says. “But at the end of the first film, we saw that the love of his new owner melted that oppositional side right out of him. All he really wanted was to be loved. So, in this film he’s become the most pampered pet with the most adoring owner, and he’s gone soft. He just doesn’t realize he’s gone soft.”

Banal - Dare To Climb The Horror In The Mountains?

The thrilling movies in Philippine cinema continues this May with the latest offering by APT Entertainment called BANAL. The movie features the hottest teen celebrities like Miguel Tanfelix, Bianca Umali, and Andrea Brillantes. This seems an interesting mix of Kapuso and Kapamilya stars which are also part of top rating teleseryes like Sahaya and Kadenang Ginto.

Said to be inspired by true events, Banal shares the story of a group of friends who went on a hiking trip to the mountain which was said to be a source of miracles for those who pursue to climb it. Many would climb mountains because of many reasons, the gang seems to have their own individual agenda for the trip. But since the mountain is full of mystical secrets and dark entities, many things can happen as they go up on their trek and their lives are at steak with every step towards the top.

The film  also tackles pinoy mysticism with its roots in the mountains which is an interesting choice of plot since many would go with the conventional urban scares like monsters and ghosts.They did a great job with the cinematography which is a combination of aerial shots, color combinations, and jumpscares to make you feel the thrill of the scenes.

James Gunn Selects Two Pinoy Artists as Winners of the "Brightburn" Fan Art Competition

From over six hundred submissions worldwide, Brightburn producer James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, upcoming The Suicide Squad) has selected five winners in the “Brightburn / Talenthouse Fan Art Competition” with no less than two Filipino artists in the champions circle.

They are millennial artists Jaye Atienza from Mabalacat, Pampanga and Dennis Radaza of Rodriguez, Rizal.  They are joined by co-winners Adam Stephens (United States), Kumail Shareef (Pakistan) and Liza Shumskaya (Ukraine).

Besides receiving $2,000 each, the artists’ winning artwork will potentially be featured across the film's marketing campaign, including social accounts, print materials and merchandise.
