XSTIG: Uratex Plant Tour

Ever wondered were your foam mattress where we sleep on were made? Well that is something I just found out when I and fellow bloggers took a trip to the Uratex Plant just a few days ago. The Uratex Brand has been a household name for years and known to be the best in quality recognized not just locally but of international standards as well.

 

Uratex is under the RGC group of companies which houses not only a foam factory but a variety of products and goods as well. There are four companies comprising the RGC Group of Companies' Foam Group: Polyfoam-RGC International, Uratex Philippines, Polyflex Industries and Inoac Philippines Corp. (the latter is a joint venture with Inoac Co. of Japan). The company is now on its 44th year and also producing products for export.

After 4 weeks of discovering fun with coffee, we are now  done with a month of great coffee flavors of Nescafe 3 in 1 which we found the perfect blend for our individual tastes.

We started with Strong and Rich that had that bold flavor which is the choice of Arnel Pineda. Then we also tried Brown and Creamy which is yummy, the pick of Coco martin. Went Sweet and Mild with optimism and happiness. And finally tasted the original taste with Sarah Geronimo.

As Pinoys, we are mostly coffee lovers as it has been part of our daily lives. Indeed coffee grew to be the things we love to have and makes our days complete.

CCP Bobcats Are Back To Be 2012 NCC Champions!

I'm proud to say that my school, Central Colleges of the Philippines, are back with a vengeance this year to reclaim the coveted National Cheerleading Championship Title. This 2012 the CCP Bobcats, considered as one of the best cheer squads in the Philippines and even in the world. These are proven by awards that the group has received throughout the years. Note that they have competed in international competitions like in Australia and Florida bringing the Philippine Flag and showed that we too can compete in this very rigorous "sport".

The competing schools also did very well as they are also the cream of the crop from their regions. The National Cheerleading Championship (NCC) may be on its 7th season but has already brought in the best squads in the land like University of the Cordilleras (UC Jaguars), University of Perpetual Help Dalta - Altas (Altas Perps Squad), and the Far Eastern University (FEU Tamaraws). The art of cheerleading is not that easy as I have seen the CCP Bobcats on the routines at schools that they would practice even at the wee hours of the night. Same goes with other schools who also traveled far to join the competition. 

Chicken Deli The Hunger Games Blog Contest!

Chicken Deli is giving out 8 premium tickets for the 7:20pm screening of the movie The Hunger Games on march 23 SM City North Edsa

Here are the mechanics:

1. All you have to do is create ab Blog Post telling us "Why you  LIKE Chicken Deli".

2. Then post it on the chicken deli facebook site together with one of the food pictures or even better if you have a picture at chicken deli.

3. The winners will win a premium ticket to the screening of the HUNGER GAMES shown on March 23 at SM City North at 7:20pm and a dinner at CHICKEN DELI before the screening. 

4. Announcement of the WINNERS will be thursday (March 22) 12 noon. The movie tickets will be given to the Winners on March 23, 6pm at CHICKEN DELI SM City North 3rd floor Annex.

Finally On Track for a Great Comeback: Susy and Geno Reunite!

After weeks of anticipation, Susy and Geno’s long-awaited reunion finally took place on March 11, Sunday, at a mall in Taguig, where the two met up not only with each other, but with their loyal and very enthusiastic supporters. It was the first public appearance in many years for the faces of Sustagen milk in the 80s and 90s, who disappeared from the public eye, only to re-emerge two decades later, starting with Susy’s return last February. Only then would we find out that she and Geno had actually lost touch through the years.

 

For weeks, Susy spearheaded a massive search for her missing friend, until Geno himself turns up on Susy’s Facebook fanpage, to set a time and place for their get-together. Some of their fans, seeing the details of the agreed meet-up, trooped to the site to see their idols in person. The more fanatical ones even attended as a group, waving banners and placards expressing their unwavering support. Meanwhile, Susy and Geno’s friends from Sustagen also did their part, providing free milk for all those who turned up to accompany Susy as she waited for the elusive Geno to appear.

 

Susy arrived first, toting an album she made for Geno containing photos posted by her fans on her fanpage. She was easily spotted by the Market! Market! crowd, though, and was swarmed by well-wishers wherever she would go. A good number of media people were also on hand to cover the momentous event. In fact, it was during one reporter’s interview with Susy that Geno made his grand entrance.

Great Finds and Buys at SM City Manila 3 Day Sale!

When I heard that there will be a 3 Day Sale in SM City Manila, I knew I will indeed buy something really nice at a very affordable price. And when we had a preview of what is going to happen for the 3 day sale. 

As expected, the mall is jampacked with shoppers and most of them are students and government workers. And as explained to us, yesthe mall is said to be the "unofficial" mall of Chinatown since its the nearest SM Mall to the district. The mall these days is now evolving as it opens new stores and most of them are unique and very rare which makes it a great place to try something new.
