



“We will not only paint the town red but in a multitude and dazzling array of colors,” says Kate Oliva, marketing and advertising manager of Converse Philippines. “With the Spring/Summer collection featuring the most brilliant, eye-popping colors, it’s time to smear, spray and jazz-up the flat, the monochromatic, the boring.”
With a colorful opening featuring collections like the Jack Purcell, Chuck Taylor All-Stars, and the Bags and shoes collection through a runway display with models were the people can also get their photos taken with them.
Performing at the Sneakers Clash are the new brand band ambassadors of Converse namely Gracenote, Peso Movement, Paranoid City and Stereodeal. Producer of popular American series like The Tyra Banks Show and America’s Next Top Model, Michael Carandang is now the Jack Purcell Creative Curator. Pro-skater Jeff Gonzales, Converse's regional skate ambassadors, also was there for the event representing the street and skate apparel.
The public also joined the event online by posting photos of their fun activities in facebook with the hashtag #PHOTOCLASHPH and tagging Converse Philippines on Facebook. The most creative photos will be jazzed up during the event by CJ de Silva and will be posted back to the users' respective accounts.
“We have carefully chosen our brand ambassadors to reflect the spirit of Converse: rebellious in a creative way,” says Kate. “They are trailblazer and influencers in their respective fields—from the alternative scene to pop culture, from tri-media to social media. We are certain that they will make Converse as their stomping ground for their creative expressions.”
