BLACK SHEEP’S BLACK PACK: An Experience of 3 Internationally Recognized Feature Films

BLACK SHEEP, a film outfit under ABS-CBN, is known for films that tell fresh stories with  a vision that have no boundaries. And now, a first of its kind in our distributions we bring  you BLACK SHEEP’S BLACK PACK, 3 exciting films in 1 exclusive access. 

For the very first edition, we programmed Black Sheep’s 3 internationally recognized  films: Raya Martin’s DEATH OF NINTENDO, Bradley Liew’s MOTEL ACACIA and Dwein  Baltazar’s ODA SA WALA. After their World Premieres and screenings in various  International Film Festivals, finally they’re home and will be available in the Philippines. 

From Nostalgia of our youth and of the 90s in Death of Nintendo to suspenseful action packed adventure in a mysterious Motel Acacia to finding luck and love in stillness in Oda  Sa Wala, Black Sheep is all set to take you to 1 cinematic journey this summer.

Evil is all around us and in Black Sheep's first horror film, Clarita, viewers are treated to a horror  film about the first recorded possession in the Philippines that shocked the entire world. Jodi Sta. Maria has been well regarded as one of the most versatile actresses in the country and in Clarita where she plays the titular role, expect to see Sta. Maria like you've never seen her before.

Before the term "viral" was even coined, the case of Clarita Villanueva's possession became a worldwide sensation and was one of the most talked about events in the history of Manila. For the first time on the big screen, viewers can experience Clarita's journey in all its glory.

Black Sheep takes a short break from releasing unique love stories as the less than one -year-old film outfit ventures into producing horror film 'Clarita."

Topbilled by Jodi Sta. Maria who plays 'Clarita' herself, the film, directed by Derick Cabrido, is slated for a nationwide run starting June 12.

Inspired by true events, the film centers on Clarita, a possessed woman who tests the faith of priests Salvador, played by Ricky Davao, and Benedicto, played by Arron Villaflor, as they perform exorcism on her after learning that a group of doctors were killed by supernatural forces.

ABS-CBN Films’ newest film production brand, Black Sheep, brings to viewers the reunion project of Angelica Panganiban and Carlo Aquino through the film “Exes Baggage”, screening worldwide via TFC at the Movies.

ABS-CBN Films Managing Director Olivia Lamasan explains that Black Sheep is the film production brand that will cater to the new generation of audiences, in an article published last June 2018 by ABS-CBN News. This is part of ABS-CBN Films’ continuous effort to produce a variety of films that will satisfy the viewers’ changing taste in movies.
