VXON & G22 Cornerstone Entertainment's Official P-POP Groups - Are Riding The P-POP Wave In Exciting Fashion

A new wave of pop music has recently hit the shores of the islands of the Philippines and premiere entertainment agency Cornerstone Entertainment intends to ride it with style. The launching of Comerstone Entertainment's official P-Pop boy group VXON (read as "vision") and P-Pop girl group G22 (read as G-venty-two) in the first quarter of this year has undoubtedly stirred up much excitement and anticipation from the P-Pop community, eager to see the P-Pop wave rise higher with two new exciting groups adding unique flavors to the budding genre full of possibilities.

Dubbed as "The Monster Rookies of P-Pop, VXON has already released two singles, namely "The Beast" and "P.S., two very different sounding but equally captivating singles showing the two sides of the boys' personalities as a group and as individuals.

Music video for debut single, “The Light,” rakes in thousands of views

P-Pop has found its bright new star as new boy group BGYO’S music video for its debut single “The Light” continues to rake in thousands of views and positive reviews following the group’s grand launch. 

The music video already has a combined total of over 700,000 views from its official YouTube channel and Facebook page, which continue to grow.   

Composed of Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki, and Nate, the group was initially known as SHA Boys, which first got TV audiences and netizens’ admiration as the group made the rounds of television shows. Their “It’s Showtime” performance has over a million views and earned praises for its outstanding precision. 

As the music video premiered at the launch, the group got the chance to show off their skills once more. For the boys, it was a result of many hours of hard work. 

MUSIC LYF: Marion Aunor Releases Album With Star Records

After being part of Himig Handog P-POP lovesongs, Marion Aunor is now officialy part of Star Records with the release of the debut self-titled album and is now ready to win more hearts with her original songs and covers. 

Though she is a newbie in the music industry, she said that her edge among others is her ability to write songs and her prowess in playing the piano where she would do most of her performance. And her talent isproven with her original songs which landed her a spot in major songwriting compeitions.

ABS-CBN Celebrate Pinoy Love Via "HIMIG HANDOG P-POP LOVE SONGS"

In celebration of 60 years of Philippine television, ABS-CBN and Star Records once again set the stage for brilliant Filipino composers to share their musical masterpieces to the world as it relaunched the country's biggest multimedia songwriting competition “Himig Handog” with the theme, "Pinoy Pop (P-POP) Love Songs: Mga Awit at Kwento ng Pusong Pilipino.”

Now on its 5th year, “Himig Handog” received a total of 2,500 original compositions from Pinoy songwriters worldwide. And from the thousands of entries gathered, 12 songswere chosen as "Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs" finalists, which include "Alaala" by Ma. Fe Mechenette Tianga, Melvin Huwervana, and Joel Jabot Jr. from Iloilo; "Ano'ng Nangyari Sa Ating Dalawa" by Jovinor Tan from Malabon; "If You Ever Change Your Mind" by Marion Aunor from Makati; "Hanggang Wakas" by Soc Villanueva from Australia; "Kahit Na" by Julius James de Belen from Quezon City; "Nasa Iyo Na Ang Lahat" by Jungee Marcelo from Pasig City; "One Day" by Agatha Obar Morallos from Baguio City; "Pwede Bang Ako Na Lang Ulit" by Jeffrey Cifra from Cavite; "Sana'y Magbalik" by Arman Alferez from Caloocan; "Scared To Death" by Domingo Rosco Jr. from Bohol; "Tamang Panahon" by Wynn Andrada from Makati; and "This Song Is For You" by Jude Gitamondoc from Cebu City.
