The Kapamilya network’s newest sitcom “Home Sweetie Home” made strong first impressions upon the airing of its pilot episode last Sunday (January 5), topping the rating charts and ranking number one nationwide.

According to data from Kantar Media, “Home Sweetie Home” raked in 19.9% in TV ratings, making it the most watched TV program among last Sunday’s shows in both urban and rural areas. Feedback from viewers via social media also proved the show was a hit, with many becoming instant fans of the John Lloyd Cruz-Toni Gonzaga tandem.

John Lloyd, Toni Reunite In First Ever Sitcom Together

In the Kapamilya network’s newest sitcom that’s set to make waves as the new year kicks off, blockbuster star John Lloyd Cruz and favorite multimedia sweetheart Toni Gonzaga will be starring in a their comeback as a duo with the launch of the all-new “Home Sweetie Home”.

The two stars have long been expressing their excitement for the project’s kick-off, which has been much anticipated over the past months as John Lloyd and Toni will finally be breaking even more barriers venturing into "Home Sweetie Home". 

Toni was especially surprised to hear the news that she was to be cast in this new hilarious sitcom, excited that her and John Lloyd will be taking on television together for the first time.

“This will be our first time together on TV, so I hope everyone will get to be a part of it. I hope they enjoy,” Toni said in a report with ABS-CBN News. The last time the two shared the screen was in their side-by-side stint in the movie “My Amnesia Girl” in 2010.

In celebration of 60 years of Philippine television, ABS-CBN and Star Records once again set the stage for brilliant Filipino composers to share their musical masterpieces to the world as it relaunched the country's biggest multimedia songwriting competition “Himig Handog” with the theme, "Pinoy Pop (P-POP) Love Songs: Mga Awit at Kwento ng Pusong Pilipino.”

Now on its 5th year, “Himig Handog” received a total of 2,500 original compositions from Pinoy songwriters worldwide. And from the thousands of entries gathered, 12 songswere chosen as "Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs" finalists, which include "Alaala" by Ma. The story is about  Precy (Eugene Domingo) at Belay (Toni Gonzaga) in woking on  their wedding situation. IOne is excited for her nuptial while one is working on her annulment. Precy has had it with her “super batugan” na asawa (Wendell Ramos as Benito) while Belay is oh-so-excited to marry the love of her life Oca (Zanjoe Marudo). “It’s a study of contrast.” sabi nga ni Direk Joey Reyes na ginawang natural pero riot ang mga nakakatawang eksena sa pelikula. With a formidable cast, a realistic storyline,and knockout punchlines swak na swak ang timpla ng pelikula. Iyan ang winning formula kung bakit patok sa takilya ngayon ang “Wedding Tayo Wedding Hindi”! The whole cast has nothing but good words to their co-stars. “Very professional! MUSIC LYF: Kris Aquino's New Album My Heart's Journey

Kris Aquino's life is not exclusive to a single song, that is why she launches her own albums that include songs close to her heart, especially for healing and reflection. Kris Aquino, despite being the presidential sister and a top media celebrity. Also with all her relationships were not that all blooming and rainbows, she still would stand strong for her family and her kids. Thus another song in the pages in her biography.
