Blah Blah Blogs: Happy End of the World Day!

HAPPY END OF THE WORLD DAY!

I know you have also waited until it struck 6 am in the US. You might have tweeted or messaged your family and friends that you love them and sorry for all of your sins. Some would have gone to church and prayed so hard that their knees bleed.  Some would party like 2012 and also made their final dreams come true. But technically, most of us didn't. Since also technically, we can not solidly predict the future and determine our demise.  Though if we did, we have probably did all the things above and do something, either to wait what to happen or how to delay it. But its freaky but cool to realize that at those time of confusion and chaos (if ever), we would do the things that we should have done today. Why do we need to wait for the apocalypse to arrive just to end wars and say 'I LOVE YOU'?  There is also so many things left unfinished if the world ends now... when will the Philippines get a Gold at the Olympics? Who killed Ninoy Aquino? Will the corrupt officials be punished? What outfit will Lady GaGa wear next? Well, if ever that we are still able to live tomorrow the next END OF THE WORLD day would be December 21, 2012, so mark your calendars and party like its the end of the world!

So to all you readers, my family and friends.
XOXO.

Buying and Selling made easy at AYOSDITO.PH

At these hard times, it pays to be practical. One way to help earn a little is to look around your house and check what things or gadgets you can sell online. I for an instance had a Grand Theft Auto IV software I won last year. But since I'm not into GTA that much I decided to sell it. But Finding the right place to post and sell it online was a challenge. But I came across AYOSDITO.PH which is an online selling site for almost anything from electronics to 2nd hand carsin the Philippines. And with just a few simple steps, I was able to post it with all details  needed.

AYOSDITO.PH is friendly for both buyers and sellers as it serves as board filled with classified ads of what you specifically need. And just after a day or two, I was able to get a reply from an interested buyer who bought it without complications since the details provided all he needs to know. With the fast and easy process, I bookmarked AYOSDITO.PH for my future purchases and when selling things online.

An added feature of the site are the guides that help people, espescially newbies, on how to make transactions and make the right choice in buying. For example, if you plan to buy 2nd hand vehicles, there is a guide in buying used cars in the website. This makes the website helpful and fair to both parties. You can now start looking for things that you can sell online to hel you earn an extra income for you and your family.

ANC's Short Film Series KINSE Stands for Human Rights

AmBisyon 2010 last year by ANC was indeed a huge success but also a point of controversy and censorship. As the film talkes the issues that has long affcted the country, there were eyes that were opened. From that point this paved way to the creation of another series of short films and ANC (ABS-CBN news channel) was anticipating that there will be another set next year. They launched KINSE (15), consisting of 15 directors including Erik Matti, Carlos Siguion Reyna, Mark Meily, Auraeus Solito, Raymond Red, Jim Libiran, John Red, Richard Somes, Ato Bautista, Kiri Dalena, Ray Gibraltar, Raymund Amonoy, Kidlat de Guia, Nico Puertollano and Paolo Villaluna.
The topic for this year would focus more on HUMAN RIGHTS. This includes women rights, rights of the child, rights against extrajudicial killings, indegenous rights, freedom of expression, rights against domestic violence and LGBT rights. The short films run from 4 to 6 minutes and the filmakers have the freedom in creating the short films. KINSE will run on a six-part TV special hosted by Angel Aquino beginning May 23, 9:30pm on ANC.

Erik Matti – Nang Tumambad ang Hubad na Katotohanan
this short film is both entertaining yet opens a big can of worms of clashing beliefs, lies and acceptance to reality. Humorously in nature with lines that would leave a mark of moments in the film

Ato Bautista – Pilay
Rights would always be connected with justice and on this film, finding justice is not as easy as it seems especially to one that lacks in almost everything in his life.

"GUSTO KONG MAGHUBAD!"
Richard Somes – 1942
this one shows child rights in a different light. If one would observe, he would find dots that can be connected together and see what is the root of child labor. There would be moments of comedy, but one would still see injustices in it.

Ray Gibraltar – Manilyn’s Dress and the Pekeng Duck
a light approach to the freedom to express oneself, and since the scenes also happened to me in real life, I was also to see myself in those situation. This film is the only one using Bisaya as the language.

Auraeus Solito – Indigenous Pelikula
one of the strongest showcase of how human rights are violated and still seeking justice. I do consider idigenous rights are the most neglected today which we also kill without knowing it.

Mark Meily – Kaninong Boses
Something to reflect about when we hear something. Also makes us realize that human rights goes hand in hand with trust.

Paolo Villaluna – Intolerance
a simple yet young approach to gay rights in which the society also triggers people to oppress people of the LGBT gender. I commend them for great cinematography and surprizing actor portrayals.

Raymond Red – Bangin
There is a deep approach and analogy for this one. So deep I fell in the Bangin.

John Red – Absent
I don't know but I saw bob ong in this film, though I am not sure what specific right does it pertains to, but left a nostalgic feel with descriptions so vivid that talks to the mind.

Raymund Amonoy – Liham para kay Marlo
As I thought it was just another love story which I tought would be boring but then turns to a surprizing twist. The surprize would leave you speaking French.

Kiri Dalena – Memorial for Filipino Journalists
showing 15 years of slain journalists, including the maguidanao massacre victims would not fit in just a few minutes but this would leave you with a ghost haunting and seeking justice. I did heard some sobbing at the sight of the film, which also left me with a heavy heart.

Kidlat de Guia – ANC 19
a documentary about the right to culture which is synonymous with indigenous rights, did show important points about the matter but presented in a very classic documentary style.

Nico Puertollano – Labinlima
this short film is packed with a lot of useful information while still keeping pace with the main subject which is a family of 15, 2 parents and 13 children. Though can also be related to the debated RH bill, would focuses more on the rights and roles of the mother.

Carlos Siguion Reyna – Choices
This one would be just in time for a very hot topic, the RH bill, abortion, and contraception. the senario opened a lot of choices or options where the story would go yet there was a hanging question left.

Jim Libiran – Batch 2011-05-16
this director of TRIBU, makes a great connection of the past and present. Very complicated yet visually entertaining integration of events and its contrasts. And in the end, I left me a Jose Rizal reflection of his perception of the future.

Among the celebrities who joined ANC Kinse were Anne Curtis and Gina Alajar. Even if the films are limited in budgeting 15 short films these was never a hindrance to the directors to create quality works.

ANC partners with Springfilm Foundation and The Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands, which a very active nation fighting for human rights. They will also partner with Dutch filmmaker Jacco Groen. The film will be released this year. For more details about ANC Kinse visit www.kinse.tv.

Here is short teaser for KINSE...

Manual to Lyf's New Segment!

Manual to Lyf is indeed a general blog about lifestyle and events but of course, there should be order and categories to make everything simpler to search. That is why on my blog I do have segments like Fud Fyt (www.fudfyt.blogspot.com) which is now has its own blog. And today I am introducing two new segments for Travel and Fashion. Introducing LakBayan and Fashionista!
LakBayan of course would focus on travel, but when there is a place there is also history and other interesting things to talk about, and the list could go on and on.  And before food, traveling is what I really love to do. walking to unchartered places and discovering more than any book and e-books combined. I do hope to make more video blogs with this segment and show you the places you and I can go in this blog. Tara, LaBayan na!
Now Fashion has a new authority, its FASHIONISTA baby! Though not really a designer or a model but has eyes and ears on what the trends would be would be influential. Yes, it may be a new world for me but like our motto in MTL that try and try everything before your die! And since sometimes I would be fashionably handicapped, I do need to compose myself and look better to feel better. Time to hit the ramp!

In the next post it will include these new segments since I have been to several fashion and travel events lately, so always keep yourself updated with lyf, only here in Manual to Lyf!

MUSIC LYF: Ryan Bang Lilly Lilly Likes to Party Party!

Ryan Bang
I Lilly Lilly Like It Party Party Hits

He is Korean but he is not doing KPOP, but he knows how to party. Ryan Bang (Hyun Sung Bang), as a another product of the Big Brother house ventures out in launching his party CD with 7 songs including his own single I LILLY LILLY LIKE IT. It started when he was a judge in ABS CBN's SHOWTIME, and is always asked to do 'sample' by the audience (madlang people). And as he made his mark as a very funny personality, this made him also popular to many which I also seen when he was still inside the house.
I LILLY LILLY LIKE IT is indeed a novelty party song and interestingly has the same melody of Bayani Agbayani's OCHO OCHO and some other novelty hits. And when I heard it on the radio it did gave me an Last Song Syndrome, since there are no new novelty songs out in the market today. Since he is still in Showtime, this would be a good exposure for him to promote the single. Also he is part of BANANA SPLIT which is gave him the chance to show his comedic nature.

Now having his own album, he admits that he won't do any ballads but is very happy on how his career is going. And being also compared with fellow Korean and now KPOP superstar Sandara Park of 2NE1, he said that he would be happy if that happens but focuses on what he has right now.
The other songs in the album are; PAN AMERICANO (We No Speak Americano) by Yolanda Cool; PARAPAPA by Cidinho & Doca; WAKA WAKA by All Star Generation; GIT WITH U by PSIX, and the Bang mix of I LILLY LILLY LIKE LIT. I Lilly Lilly Like It: Ryan Bang Party Hits!, released by Galaxy Records and distrubuted by PolyEast Records, is now available in stores nationwide. Get your copy for only Php 199. Blah Blah Blogs: Why Blogger, Why... and other Internet Juice

Why BLOGGER, why?

A question that linger to me last week as we (bloggers using blogspot) experienced the outage that happened to blogger.com. It was a headache for me to think that I have a lot of post to do here. I admit that I don't have a connection at home so that is why I have to go to the wifi hotspots to do my uploads and posts. But unfortunately Monday last week I was greeted by a spinning wheel inside the post area. This phenomenon caused a lot of frustration to the users of this platform. I ried several remedies like switching from draft.blogger to the regular version, even html won't work.

This made me think if I need to have a domain or change to wordpress. And I am also worried that there would be the possible future to blogger closing down (thinking of it gives me the shivers). But the outage is now gone and hopefully there won't be any additional problems especially since they will be migrating to the new blogger interface, which I have tried when I was using draft.blogger.com.

I know changes are innevitable, however I hope Blogger/Google would apply changes or upgrades without much hassle like this one.
By the way, we (the Philippines) are now known to be the social networking capital of the world. And this does testify the power of the internet to the Filipinos  and even there is still poverty, people are getting more access to it every day. One proof is the the exponential rise in computer and internet users in the country. And its not far, that it could reach every island of the country.  More reasons to blog and more reasons for you to read Blah Blah Blogs!
