REEL DEAL: Inside Out REVIEW

We love Pixar-Disney Movies, they make the most innovative and engaging animations for our generation. They have taken us to places from the earth and even beyond. This year they did not need to go far, as they venture into the story of the little voices in our heads with INSIDE OUT.

Emotions makes us human, and putting a personality with these emotions makes them interesting to watch. The main emotional characters here are Joy (Poehler), Sadness (Smith), DIsgust (Kailing), Anger (Black), and Fear (Hader).  They are currently working inside a girl named Riley, who with her family moved to San Francisco as his dad got a new job there. Adjusting to the new place was hard for her, and from there things get emotional.

Directed by Pete Docter, and Produced by Jonas Rivera. Story by Pete Docter Ronnie del Carmen. Starring Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling, Richard Kind, Kaitlyn Dias, Diane Lane, and  Kyle MacLachlan. The movie was already shown in the US last June and was a big hit, and even got high reviews from rating websites and critics.

Rebecca Ferguson Whips Up a Storm in "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation"

While “Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation” brings together the best and the brightest of the IMF in hot pursuit of The Syndicate, the film also bring several new faces into Ethan Hunt’s (Tom Cruise) world. Most notably, Hunt meets Ilsa Faust, a woman who literally takes him by storm, with savvy and skills that rival his own.

To play Ilsa, the femme fatale who reverses the tables on Hunt, the filmmakers chose a relative unknown: Rebecca Ferguson, who hails from Sweden, and was recently seen in “Hercules.” She won the role in part because she was a total surprise, says director Christopher McQuarrie. “When I first saw Rebecca on tape, she was 180 degrees from what I thought I was looking for. But Tom and I just looked at each other and said, ‘that’s her.’ Immediately we saw that she had the energy we wanted – she was independent, elegant, full of grace and maturity,” the director observes. “We called her in to read with Tom and they instantly clicked. Everyone just stood back and watched the chemistry.”

"Inside Out" Unfolds Through Eyes of Five Emotions‏

Disney-Pixar's new comedy adventure “Inside Out” features a team of Emotions who helps guide 11-year-old Riley through an unsettling change in her life.

But as the story was being developed, filmmakers weren’t sure which emotions should make the cut. “Some psychologists claim there are as many as 27 Emotions,” says director Pete Docter. “We toyed with adding Pride. Or Schadenfreude, who delighted in the pain of others. But it started getting crowded in there. We ultimately settled on five.”

Filmmakers then went about defining each Emotion, assigning them a purpose in Riley’s mind, and tackling the difficult process of finding the right look for each. “The look and design of the Emotions had to remind people that they are personifications of feelings,” says Docter. “They’re not little people. They’re Emotions. They’re made of energy—they’re made up of thousands of particles, which kind of looks like energy. We wanted to capture what emotions feel like—the shapes, the colors—as well as their personalities.”
