It was a double celebration as Acer Philippines marked Acer Day 2023 and its 20th anniversary on August 6 with an epic concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
The line-up made the Acer Day 2023: #AceYourWorld concert a dream concert, with Acer brand Ambassadors Sarah Geronimo, Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano, international superstar Sandara Park, and a powerhouse cast of artists that included, Sunkissed Lola, December Avenue, Zach Tabudlo, Sponge Cola, Mayonnaise, Ben&Ben, and Ely Buendia.
“We chose a line-up that Filipinos of different generations will enjoy so everyone can watch the concert and have a great time,” said Acer Philippines Senior Marketing Manager Princess Laosantos.

“Gran Turismo has all the qualities of a great underdog sports story,” says producer Doug Belgrad of the film based on the true story of Jann Mardenborough, one of the unlikeliest racecar drivers of all time.
Director Neill Blomkamp, whose credits include District 9 and Elysium, says that Jann makes a compelling character because his real-life story is an unbelievable series of dreams coming true. Like a lot of young adults, Jann seems more interested in playing videogames than with making something of his life, until he’s given a chance to play for real. “Jann is playing ‘Gran Turismo’ in his parents’ house when all of a sudden – after years – he sees the option for GT Academy,” Blomkamp explains. “Only then did he learn how to drive proper cars – how to hit an apex and exit a corner – everything he’d done intuitively inside the game, but had never been taught.”
Being a fan of space movies, Doh Kyung-soo had a dream of “someday being able to work on a film set in space,” shares the actor, who stars in the upcoming film The Moon.
Doh, who debuted as a member of the K-pop group EXO, is also known for his acting work, such as in the films My Annoying Brother and Along with the Gods, and the popular TV series 100 Days My Prince.
In The Moon, a gripping, epic action adventure and one of the most highly anticipated films in Korea this year, Doh expands his acting spectrum by playing a lone Korean astronaut stranded on the moon. His character, Sun-woo, is a former SEAL member and molecular physics major who joins the Narae-ho space program in Korea. He boards the spacecraft in pursuit of his father's unrealized dream but unexpectedly becomes the sole survivor of the expedition due to an unforeseen accident.
