There is always a special place for the story of Peter Pan and Neverland in our hearts, and with years since the last incarnation of the well loved story, Pan comes in to bring a new story behind the characters of Neverland. Led by Hugh Jackman as the pirate Blackbeard, and newcomer Levi Miller as Peter, brings a whole new excitement to kids and kids-at-heart.
Pan tells the story before he became the flying boy who does not grow up. The story when he first met the soon-to-be "Captain" Hook played by Garret Hedlund and also found accidental friendship with Tiger Lily played by Rooney Mara.
The movie was indeed a visual feast with a another re-imagination of the children's tale. There was also a twist with the music that is used for this film as they gambled with modern songs interpreted into the tune of the moment and the timeline. Comparatively a new concept with this prequel brings surprise, which can either be a miss or hit. Nevertheless, it is still an enjoyable film that is best seen with the whole family and in 3D.

Show summary in 3 lines: Think happy thoughts
Technical Effects: 4 out of 5 stars (I can say, it is really good technically but quite not convinced with the flying part)
Plot: 2 out of 5 stars (There are just too many cliche moments, even kids can spot it)
Acting and Actors: 4 out of 5 stars (The two leads Miller and Jackman stood out while the others are on the safe side)
Pros: Levi Miller, Hugh Jackman, visuals, songs
Cons: plot, the design of the fairies, less impact with minor characters
Cons: plot, the design of the fairies, less impact with minor characters
Music and Soundtracks: 4 out for 5 stars (Using modern songs reinterpreted does work, it is a good thing that they kept a limited number of songs, or else it would be a musical or will cause boredom)
Overall: Rating 3.5 out of 5 stars (Visually it is good, but a better storytelling can be done with this)
