In commemoration of World Animal Day, responsible pet ownership campaign Well-Fed, Well-Nurtured of the Pet Food Institute of America (PFI) and the Veterinary Practitioners Association of the Philippines (VPAP) brought festivities to pet owners from across Metro Manila in the recently concluded pet events in Makati, Bicutan, Marikina, and Manila.
Held in barangay West Rembo, the World Animal Day event in Makati was joined by over hundreds of pet owners to give their pets free rabies vaccination and deworming. Attending pets have also enjoyed free grooming services by mobile pet salon Vanity Fur and free giveaways care of Pet Food Institute.
With the help of pet group partner LovePets.com, PFI was able to put up an exciting show through interactive games that highlighted the importance of responsible pet ownership and nutrition.
Meanwhile, many spectators in a leading mall chain in Bicutan have witnessed the stylish cats and dogs during SunValley Pet Club’s Pet Blessing and Pet Fashion Week Celebration that was also supported by Well-Fed, Well-Nurtured campaign. Many have enjoyed the nutritious pet goodies that were up for grabs for contest winners, after which a solemn pet blessing was officiated that concluded the event.
Pet celebrations were also held in key cities Manila and Marikina for the Annual Pet Blessing Celebration in Robinsons Malls. With the participation of the Well-Fed, Well-Nurtured campaign, a pack full of dogs, cats and animal lovers have gathered in this meaningful occasion to have their pets blessed. PFI was able to give out wonderful freebies such as scoopers and chew toys.
Since 2012, the Well-Fed, Well-Nurtured campaign of PFI and VPAP has been supporting local government units and pet groups to educate the Filipino pet community on the importance of responsible pet ownership through grassroots activities. As the voice of the US pet food industry, PFI sends a message to all pet owners to provide their furry friends with complete and balanced meals by feeding them commercially-made pet foods available in the market. A pet with a healthy and sound body is surely a happy and active pet.
