#TeamSanJuan Announces Candidates for 2016

Current San Juan City Vice Mayor Francis Zamora recently made a monumental announcement with his candidacy for the mayoral position. He even brought the entire line up that is composed of candidates for councilor, vice-mayor, mayor and congressman seats. His announcement would defy the influential Estrada family which has taken hold of the city/town for decades, and they had also announced their own line up. Together they call themselves Team San Juan, which has a battlecry of "San Juan Malaya" (Free San Juan), a bold statement for their campaign.

For this line up, Francis Zamora would run for Mayor, his father Ronny Zamora will run for re-election for congressman, Totoy Bernardo will run for Vice Mayor. The candidates for district 1 councilors are Boyet Aquino, Onil Mendoza, Paul Artadi, AJ Dela Cruz, Dambu Jucutan and Armando Adonis. The district 2 councilor candidates are be Warren Villa, Allan Yam, Joy Ibuna, Pia Gil, Lance Raymundo and Ericka Villongco.

Interestingly that Lance and Ericka belong to the entertainment industry. Lance Raymundo is known to be a singer and an actor. However he got into an accident which almost destroyed his face. Now fully recovered, he finds a new purpose of being a public servant via the council seat. Ericka Villongco is a singer who rose to fame via YouTube with her sister Krissy. They had an album under MCA music, eventually Ericka also had her own career with acting and now joining in as the youngest contender as councilor.

The line up also included basketball player Paul Artadi who currently plays with the PBA under San Miguel Beermen. His candidacy will focus on sports development in the city. It has yet to be revealed what will be his plans for his basketball career if ever he gets elected into office.

Francis Zamora says in his proclamation speech that he would improve the quality of life in the city with the citizens free from the burden of city debts, secure their homes, and remove graft and corruption. He started his political career as a councilor and eventually got elected as vice mayor of the city. His father, Ronny Zamora, placed his full trust as he believe his son is indeed ready to take the role of being head of one of the progressive cities in Metro Manila.
