Rising Teen Singer LA Santos is Certified #Petmalu

He is maybe just a Senior High School student, but LA Santos is a rising star making waves in Pinoy entertainment as his love for music is taking him places. Now known for his hit song "Tinamaan", he recently had his major concert at the Music Museum titled #Petmalu and also performed at "STEP UP! STAND UP! Be better for a better world!" at the Music Library.

Not to be confused with singers LA Lopez and Eric Santos, LA Santos is out to prove his name though his talent. The young singer just released his self-titled debut album under Star Music which contains six originals (Tinamaan, Ikaw Kasi, One Greatest Love, Bakit Pag-Ibig, Miss Terror, and Mine) and three covers (Bruno Mars’ When I Was Your Man, Sarah Geronimo’s Forever Is Not Enough and Angeline Quinto’s Hanggang Kailan).

He seems to be very busy with malls shows like on June 9  at SM Valenzuela, June 10 at SM Pulilan, and the next one will be on June 30 at SM Sangandaan. He also collaborated with top artists in the industry like Martin Nievera in a series of shows in Alberta Canada. He also did a duet with Ian Veneracion and guested in his concert at Newport Peforming Arts Theater, and Jaya at his #Petmalu concert.

He has gained a lot of experiences with the concerts he has performed, yet he shares that he still has a lot to learn as an artist.  One of his future ventures will be acting, as he shares a role given to him in an upcoming movie.

While he is happy to share his passion for music, LA admits there are challenges that he has to face. “Actually, it’s difficult na pagsabayin ang studies and singing career. I am in my senior high at UST. Minsan nagkakasabay ang pag-aaral for an exam and rehearsal for shows. I don’t want to sacrifice iyong isa over the other. I have to balance my priorities and follow a strict schedule if I want to succeed in both my studies and career. At first, it was really hard especially when you have to wake up early for class after coming home late at night because of a commitment. I’m used to this routine now. I don’t regret any single thing. Who am I to complain? I’m grateful to be given these opportunities.”

He is also backed-up by his supportive mom Florita Santos, who was a Make Your Nanay Proud awardee. She is very proud of his achievements and works with him closely as LA continues on his career in music and showbiz. “I love my mom! Her unconditional love inspired me to dream big for myself, to conquer my fears, and to be the best version of myself. She is my biggest fan. Whenever I look in front of the stage, my mom is there, busy taking pictures and videos. I want to tell her that I love her and I’m thankful for all the sacrifices she has done for me.”

LA Santos is part of SRATS (the young stars of Asian Artist Agency), which includes AIANA, Selena Marie (The Ukulele Girl) , Drei Raña, Miko & Gab, Mastermind,  and Wilbert Ross. His album is available in stores and digital release .
