These five artists promise to have everyone singing at the top of their lungs and leave them with lasting memories
The level of excitement is getting higher as we count weeks before Maris Racal, Inigo Pascual, Moira Dela Torre, KZ Tandingan and the Aegis band perform at the upcoming “One Music X Abu Dhabi 2018”, happening on November 9 at the Mubadala Arena, Zayed Sports City.
Coming from the success of the “One Music X Dubai” in 2017, “One Music X” is now considered as a premier Filipino-produced music festival in the Middle East, which brings together a large crowd of overseas Filipinos and non-Filipinos alike to spend one weekend full of great music, fun activities, and lasting memories, made possible by Star Music, MOR 101.9, Myx, One Music PH and The Filipino Channel (TFC).
MarNigo Fever
During the #1MXGrandMediaCon2018 held last October 5, the fans of Maris Racal and Inigo Pascual, popularly known together as MarNigo, cannot contain their excitement as they anticipate seeing them share the same stage at “One Music X Abu Dhabi 2018”.
They both agree that it is a surreal feeling to finally see their fans from the Middle East, who even away from home, has been supporting their every project.
“Sa totoo lang po hindi ko ine-expect na ma-meet ko sila. I feel very blessed na makakasama ako dito sa One Music X (I did not expect that I will be able to meet our fans in the Middle East. I feel very blessed to be included in the One Music X Abu Dhabi 2018 lineup),” said Maris, who will be visiting the Middle East for the first time.
On the other hand, Inigo is excited to see their fans again after first meeting them last year. “Excited na ako maka-bonding silang lahat and just to perform for them,” he said.
Authentic Music
Moira Dela Torre is one of the breakthrough artists of today, not only because of her heartfelt hits but also because of her distinct sound.
Asked what she believes is the strength of her music, Moira replied: “I think it’s the authenticity. I think more than it being music, tingin ko po it is a means for people to know that they are not alone. May iba rin na pareho sa pinagdadanan nila. So, I feel my music is more like a friend to the listeners (I think it’s the authenticity. I think more than it being music, I think it is a means for people to know that they are not alone, that there are others who share what they are going through. So, I feel my music is more like a friend to the listeners).”
As to what her fans in the Middle East could expect during the “One Music X Abu Dhabi 2018”, the 23-year-old singer teased about the Christmas song she is composing dedicated to the overseas Filipinos, which she will perform for the first time during the event.
Taking it a Notch Higher
If you were enthralled with KZ Tandingan’s performances in her recent “Singer 2018” stint, get ready to be blown away with the performance she is preparing for “One Music X Abu Dhabi 2018”.
The Soul Supreme explained that she loves to challenge herself in every performance as this helps her grow as an artist. “Naniniwala ako na dapat palagi mong i-challenge ang sarili mo (I believe you should keep challenging yourself),” she stated.
She further added: “Lagi you stay out of your comfort zone kasi that is where the magic happens and that’s when you grow as an artist. Gusto ko po paniwalaan na kahit feeling ko nagawa ko na lahat ng kaya ko gawin, feeling ko may mapipiga at mapipiga pa ako sa sarili ko. (Stay out of your comfort zone because that is where the magic happens and that’s when you grow as an artist. I believe that even after I thought I have already done everything I could do in a performance, I can still bring out something new from myself).”
As she goes back to the “One Music X” stage, KZ is just excited to share her music once more to every overseas Filipinos in the Middle East.
Two Decades, New Hits
Even after they have been to a lot of places in the world, the OPM rock band icon Aegis is still excited to perform for the overseas Filipinos, especially since they are celebrating their 20th year in the industry.
Not all bands can last that long like them, but they believe the secret to their strong bond is the respect they give to each member of the band. “‘Yong samahan po namin okay po, tapos ‘yong respeto po namin sa isa’t isa hindi nawawala,” they said.
As when it comes to their music, their hits like “Halik” and “Basang-Basa sa Ulan” has been the anthem of most Filipinos, but they are about to touch more hearts with the new songs from their latest album Aegis 20 Years and Beyond, which they promised to perform at “One Music X Abu Dhabi 2018”.
