It’s Green vs. Maroon Night in Sydney as Loyal Alumni Cheer for their UAAP Basketball Teams

Filipinos abroad thirsting for good old collegiate basketball rivalry are in for a treat as TFC brings the UAAP Season 82 Watch Party in Australia. Proud alumni from De La Salle University and the University of the Philippines are given the venue to wear their colors and root for their alma mater at the One World Sports Bar, The Crown Hotel Parramatta.

It will be the second time the Green Archers are facing the Fighting Maroons on the hardcourt this season. During Round 1 of the tourney, UP nabbed the game with a 72-71 come-from-behind victory earning them their fourth win in a row. The upset is anticipated to fuel DLSU to claim their sixth victory.

As of writing, UP Fighting Maroons are on the 2nd spot at the Men’s Basketball Division and DLSU Green Archers, 5th. Leading is the unbeatable ADMU Blue Eagles with twelve wins. Will it be a sea of blue once again in the championship? Or will maroon or green be emerging to dethrone the reigning champs and rise as the new kings?
