#CoffeeTalk invades UP Manila’s PR Month celebration!

Taking learning beyond the ever traditional classroom set up gives students a dozen of opportunities to absorb their book-learned concepts and put them into practice. Learning becomes more effective when students are given the opportunity to interact with executives and managers from the corporate world as they are presented with real life scenarios about the workplace. Taking students outside of class and placing them into a more realistic context to learn and think together with other student leaders from other universities unleashes the students’ critical thinking and problem solving skills, harnessing constructive competition while strengthening interpersonal and social skills among others is a vision put to life by a group of creative thinkers at BrandSpeakAsia, a young but dynamic PR firm that defies traditional PR with its out of the box ideas.

Just recently, student leaders from UP Diliman, UP Manila, De La Salle University, University of Santo Tomas, Mapua Institute of Technology, Philippine School of Business Administration and Enderun Colleges among others converged to take part and get a deeper understanding of Public Relations through #CoffeeTalk, Creativity at Work,a 3-hour free PR Workshop which is designed to hone independent, proactive, exemplary and like-minded students who are curious enough to go the extra mile to discover and learn about public relations outside the box.

Pet Weight Watch 2014: Good pet nutrition for all year long

Manila, Philippines –With a renewed commitment to reinforcing good pet health through proper nutrition, the Pet Food Institute (PFI) is set to further engage Filipino pet owners in its Well-Fed, Well-Nurtured campaign with a few tips aimed at leading pets to a healthy lifestyle.

Weigh In

Apart from monitoring a pet’s food intake, assessing its weight regularly is one of the principal steps in supporting good pet health. Pets become increasingly exposed to obesity and other common nutritional diseases when they do not follow an appropriate diet and lack physical activity. Evaluating the pet’s weight regularly can help ensure that it remains at an ideal weight to reduce the risk of developing serious health problems such as heart disease, breathing problems, diabetes, and cancer.

MUSIC LYF: Japanese singer Aisaku releases new Tagalog single

Japanese act Aisaku, with his convincing skill at singing Tagalog songs, releases a new single which like his previous hit, is another Japanese original interpreted by Ted Ito. The song is called “Alaala Mo” a moving love song first recorded by Ito as an album track. This time, Aisaku’s version premiered its way to mainstream radio when it was first played recently over Barangay LS FM. Production of the music video of "Alaala Mo" is now underway. Watch out for the video premiere on MYX and MTV Pinoy which will happen really soon. "Alaala Mo" is an equally strong follow up to Aisaku's hit single "Ikaw Pa Rin" which was heavily supported on local radio and music channels. “I am a Filipino by heart even though my pair of eyes makes me look like I'm asleep,” quipped the Japanese-born singer whose rendition of Ito’s signature piece “Ikaw Pa Rin” won Best OPM Cover at last year’s Gawad Musika Awards & Consumers Quality Awards.
