Insight Music gambles on teacher-composer Jayson Dedal, releases his debut single

Of the billions of dreams cast into the void every day, few make it with the certainty—and confidence—that gifted singer-songwriter Jayson Dedal felt when he did.

The 28-year-old Dedal, who is a real-life MAPEH teacher in a public school in Quezon City, recently signed up with maverick record label Insight Music, which has just produced and released his debut single “Bilyon-Bilyong Panalangin”.

“Bilyon-Bilyong Panalangin” marks Jayson Dedal’s first break as a recording artist under Insight Music, making his first professional affiliation an exceptionally propitious one.

The song also served as one of the official movie soundtracks of the label’s movie production and marketing arm Insight 360 Films’ “Miss Q&A: Para Sa Maganda Lang Ba Ang Love Life?” starring Kakai Bautista and Zoren Legaspi and directed by Lemuel Lorca. The first is expected to be released this summer.

Rap Phenom Shanti Dope drops love song, 'Ikaw'

If you loved Shanti Dope in his very first single “Nadarang”, you’ll definitely fancy his latest release, his first single for 2021 --- “Ikaw”--- which is already out on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, and all digital stores worldwide under Universal Records

Unlike Shanti’s most recent singles like “Teknik”,  and  “Normalan”, which are classic hip hop rhythm and beat, “Ikaw” is mellow in tune with its more romantic theme.

Co-written with Gyran Mondejar and Lester Paul Vano, “Ikaw” is a return to Shanti’s grassroot composition which skyrocketed him to the top of the charts and national renown.

The music is chill and soulful with lyrics that would surely titillate your romantic tendencies. Vocal collaboration with Pino G. and Jobe Nkemakolam adds flavor to this ode to everlasting love.

A few hours upon the official release of 'Ikaw' Music Video on Youtube, it has already garnered almost 68,000 views. Stream “Ikaw” on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, and all digital stores worldwide under Universal Records.

Zack Tabudlo turns to Liza Soberano as inspiration for ‘80s-inspired track “Elizabeth”

Zack Tabudlo returns with a bright, ‘80’s pop-inspired number about a girl who gives hints of love and interest, but is afraid of commitment. Released today via Island Records Philippines, his latest single ‘Elizabeth’ was loosely inspired by his admiration for Liza Soberano; hence, the title’s relation to the actress’ real name outside of showbiz.

Zack admits that it was actually Liza who got him into songwriting at a young age. “I wrote a ton of songs about her starting out until I paved my way to writing through my personal experiences,” the Nangangamba singer confesses. “She's such an inspiration to a lot of people including me, who got started with a craft I love to do.”

A fictional account

From a lyrical standpoint, ‘Elizabeth’ puts accurately into words Zack’s frustration about unrequited love, and how the most interesting pieces of music come from a place of romantic uncertainty and youthful sentiment. “The song is about a person who gives you mixed feelings, showing interests but throws you off from time to time,” Zack adds.
