Iya, Nikki, John and Camille Now Twitter Millionaires

More and more local celebrities are continuing to make their presence felt in Twitterverse, where their devout followers continue to thrill in their delightful musings, rantings and other newsworthy escapades.

Techie gals Iya Villania and Nikki Gil now rank among the most-followed local celebrities, as their respective Twitter followers surpassed the two-million mark.

As of April 26, 2013, Iya’s followers (@iyavillania) numbered 2,061,969, while Nikki’s (@nikkigil) stood at 2,039,605.

The brother and sister tandem of John and Camille Prats—Iya and Nikki’s fellow artists in ALV Talent Circuit—recently surpassed the one-million mark. John (@iamjohnprats) has 1,062,852 Twitter followers, while Camille (@CamillePrats) has 1,049,090.

The bubbly and gorgeous MYX VJs, who are also two of the most influential celebrity endorsers, feel elated about the burgeoning support from their growing family of loyal fans, who follow them 24/7.

“There’s nothing like being able to reach out instantly to other people,” says Nikki. “In more ways than one, technology has shattered the wall that—for the longest time—has kept fans from getting more personal and intimate with their favorite stars.”

Iya couldn’t agree more. On a more serious note, she remarks, “With that many people following you, it’s only fitting that we come up with relevant trending topics. After all, it’s been said time and again that with great power comes great responsibility.”

John is currently busy with his stints in Banana Split, ASAP XV and lately, as a dance mentor for Promil’s iShine Talent Camp.

Camille, one of GMA-7’s prized talents, still hosts the weeknight talk show MARS, and continues to flaunt her dramatic prowess in the hit teleserye, Bukod Kang Pinagpala.
