Thousands Flock Labor Day Job Fair at SM City San Lazaro

Labor Day would either mean rallies or holiday to some, but for jobseekers, its a perfect day to get that dream job that they wanted. With the start of May is made to commemorate the hardworking class of the nation, plus positive economic direction of the country, it also paved way to the creation of more investments and also jobs.

Jobs that are the foundation of the economy, new ones are created everyday but also comes with competition from a lot of aspiring job hunters with various backgrounds and skills.

At SM City San Lazaro, located near LRT Tayuman and Sampaloc area, thousands of job hopefulls lined at the event center to apply with a wide roster of employers from different industries.

The lines were indeed long which could span the length of the entire mall. This spells positive indicators though. With employers opening vacancies means more business expanding and multiplying. With job seekers that would surpass the number of applicants for last year's Job Fair. Some of the applicants came from outside Manila and even up to nearby provinces looking for better opportunities in the Metro.

The day will indeed be long for the applicants with the number of companies one can apply. But it will be all worth it when they get hired. The venue is still the best for this kind of job seeking affairs rather than being under the hot sun in job fairs with just a handful of possible employers.

Job Fair 2013 is a joint project of SM Supermalls together with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Philippine-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, LRTA, DPWH,  and Public Service Employment Office. The Job Fair happens on all SM Supermalls nationwide.
