As for Scatola, which means “box” in Italian, Laurel said because his idea for the Scatola for Uratex was a piece of furniture that can be transformed from what originally looks like a box. “I thought that it would be a catchy phrase to call it that. I love the Scatola as it is so useful and practical but super stylish at the same time," says Laurel of his inspiration in coming up with his exquisite designs for his mattresses.
