If you love videos and the good news of the Bible you might want to try out the St. Paul National Bible Quiz Bee Video Competition in the AVFaith Awards.

Search for SPNBQ 2013 Outstanding VIDEOS that communicate your CATHOLIC FAITH (1 ten-minute Audio-Visual presentation [AVP] – a short film, music video or documentary – inspired by a bible verse/ pericope

1. The 4th St. Paul National Bible Quiz 2013 declares the opening of the AVFaith Awards.

2. The AVFaith Awards is open to all amateur and student video/digital film makers in Luzon.

3. The team of video and digital filmmakers must be composed of at least five (5) college students, certified by their school Dean or Department Chair, from any 4. Institutes, Colleges and Universities in Luzon. (cf.available application and certification form)

4. The Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP) must not be more than 10 minutes ( inclusive of the opening title/s, the closing credits) which incorporates the bible verse/pericope that inspires the AVP.

5. AVP may be in these formats: avi, wmv, mpeg-4 and other formats readable by any dvd or vlc player, and must be packaged in a Recordable DV (DVR).

6. The team is, therefore, required to submit in a brown envelop 2 CDS, the one containing ONLY the AVP and the other containing the following: three (three) behind the scenes still photos in jpg. format (e.g. shooting and editing), poster of the film (jpg format) and a page of description of the production or the synopsis. Please send copies in duplicates. So 4 CDS all in all.

7. A team may submit as many entries as possible. But in cases when the winning AVPs were done by one and the same maker, only the best entry of the team qualifies for the Juror’s Choice.

8. The Jury, composed for professional Media Practitioners and Film Makers, will short list 12 AVPs for the video festival in August as Finalists based on the provided criteria for judging. The Video Fest will select five (5) Juror’s Choices which will compete for the AVFaith Awards during the 4th St. Paul National Bible Quiz 2013 at the 34th Manila International Bookfair 2013 at SMX Convention Hall, Pasay City on September 14, 2013. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

9. The Prizes:

A. Finals Shortlist: 12 Citation Awards and the chance to participate in a Prestigious Film Making Workshop.

B. Jurors’ Choice: 5 Winners: Medals , Audience Choice

AVFaith Awards:

First Prize: P50,000.00 and Plaque of Distinction

Second Prize: P30,000.00 and Plaque of Distinction

Third Prize: P20,000.00 and Plaque of Distinction

Fourth Prize: Plaque of Distinction and Consolation Prize

Fifth Prize: Plaque of Distinction and Consolation Prize

All the corresponding Schools of the Jurors’ Choice Awardees will receive a ST PAULS COMMUNICATOR’ or an appropriate award e.g. Alberione , John Paul the Second, Year of Faith) AWARD

All the AVFaith Shortlists will become a feature of the domains: www.ssp.ph and www.stpauls.ph, and when worked out, with TVMaria.

10. The team (vis a vis its video) and ST PAULS have the sole copyright of the 12 AVP Finalist AVPs.
