MUSIC LYF: Alden Richards Goes Personal in Debut Album

Alden des not need to be controversial to be noticed by the public, his charm as the boy next door and charisma works silently as his career buds into a whole new level with coming up with his own self-titled album under Universal Records.

We got a copy of his album which will be part of Listening Room soon, and also we loved the magazine-like album design which stands out among the OPM albums launched this year. 

GMA's young leading man Alden Richards admits that his debut album under Universal Records speaks a lot about him. The album, which includes his cover of memorable hits - Shamrock's Haplos, Rey Valera's Naalala Ka, Ichyworm's Akin Ka Na Lang, among others, is a testament to Alden's young romantic side.

Two weeks ago, the album was launched at the Trinoma Activity Center, where his fans tropped and proved that indeed Alden is one of the most bankable stars of the Kapuso Network.

"I am really very thankful that people went out to support me," said the Kapuso star. "I have given everything I have for this project."

Thankfully, Alden's album zoomed top of the Atrovision/Astroplus charts only a week after the release.

Alden expressed his gratitude towards Universal Records bosses for the opportunity - General Manager Kathleen Dy-Go, Operations Peter Chan, and producer Ito Rapidas, who made sure Alden's voice in tip-top shape for its recording.

The album debut single Haplos instantly rose to the top og the MyMusicStore charts and is now a part of the series Mundo Mo'y Akin as its love theme.

Alden also has an original song in the album - the romantic Sa Akig Tabi by Vince Katindoy, composer of Ngiti.

Alden Richards's album is now available at all record bars nationwide.
