We all know Barbie Forteza as one of GMA Networks teen star who is loved by many fans and have starred in many shows. Now she ventures on another talent which appeals to her generation and also shows her versatility as an artist.

She is launching her self titled album under MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines) with both covers and original tracks that is a perfect mix of sounds that everyone can enjoy. In the recent BlogCon with her, she was very bubbly and shared what is doing right now which is shooting for her new soap "Anna Karen Nina" where she plays the role of Karen , previously played by Sunshine Dizon. 

She also done a little rap for the group which is something that she does not do usually but impressive I could say. Regarding  the "rivalry" between her and Bea Binene, who have also launched her album with a different record label, is not a big deal for her since she and Bea are friends.

With this new alnum and also a new show on the day, it is undoubtedly clear that Barbie shows how a valuable entertainer and actress she is. He free spirited attitude is what many loves about her and goes well with her debut album.

GMA Teen Star Barbie Forteza Release Debut Album; To Launch Album on June 2 at SM North the Block

She is known as on eof the Philppines' top teen stars whose popularity started with lead roles in highly rated GMA Network soap operas like "First Time", "Pilyang Kerubin, "Nita Negrita", and recently, "Paroa: ang Kwento ni Mariposa". She has also appeared in top grossing movies such as "Ang Darling Kong Aswang", "Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote", "Tween Academy: Class of 2012", She is also one of today's most in-demand young endorsers.

Now that what used to be tween queen turned teen queen Barbie Forteza adds another fact to her young entertainment career-singing. She finally released her debut album under MCA Music (Universa Music Philippines). Simply self-titled, this album fits Barbie's personality perfectly -bubbly, fun and wholesome.

A special treat for her fans, Barbie will hold an album launch and fans day on June 2, 5pm at the 3rd floor of SM North EDSA The Block. Grab a copy of her album which will be sold by Astroplus to get a free poster and have it signed by Barbie herself after the show.

It includes the carier single "Meron Ba" about having a crush on someone but could not tell anyone including the person she admires. Its music video is now out on MYX directed by J Pacena and also stars fellow GMA artist Jeric Gonzales as Barbie's love interest. The album, produced by Francis Guevarra also features the version of Jolina Magdangal's "Laging Tapat" - another song about young love, the bouncy track"Upside Down" (originally from the A-Teens) and an orginal song "Wala Lang" -written by Jude Gitamondoc. "Wala Lang" also comes with a dance version for those who want sing-along Barbie's songs.

"I am so thankful to MCA music for trusting me and giving me a chance to share my talents. I can't wait to share it to my fans who supports me all the way," Barbie said.

Also catch Barbie Forteza on June 9 at SM Marikina and on June 30 at Pavillion Mall, Binan, Laguna. All show start at 5pm.
