Taking A Digital Timeout with Analog Hours

I have to admit that my digital life takes a lot off my own personal/offline life. I would even say that I do facebook longer than I sleep, which is a fact and I'm sure that many of you would also be in the same situation. With almost all the things we have are found online and can be done with a click of buttons and touchscreens, the world has become smaller in terms of communications but a little bit bigger in terms of actual interactions with real life people.

With work, play, and even rest dominated by the pixels and electronics, I would like to go on a Digital Timeout. That means I would like to spend more time exploring the outside world, talk to people, sing, dance, and draw. Gradually but effectively shift to a more balanced digital and reality schedule. And with Holy Week staring next week, I hope to be faithful to that promise and find my offline self again.

I had this realization with the Analog Hours made by McDonald's and Coca Cola who just launched their new campaign in creating more lasting and meaningful memories with less connection to the internet and more fun interactions with family, friends and even co-workers.

With the analog hours, we were barred from using our mobile phones and stick with old school things like the film camera, live streaming with the live band, actual games and a good combination of food and beverages that all can share. Interestingly, it is called the BFF Bundles. And you can make them into more interesting bundles depending on your taste.

Below are some of the details of the BFF Bundles, and I am now planning on making my own analog hours everyday to start a new mix of an active offline life and a more concise digital pressence.

With the BFF Burger Bundle for just Php 399 for a group of three or Php 559 for a group of four, customers can choose from seven of their favorite McDonald’s Burgers and enjoy them with the new BFF Fries, big enough for the entire gang to enjoy together, and a refreshingly ice-cold Regular Coke for each one. Friends who prefer Chicken McDo can opt for the BFF Chicken Bundle and choose between 1pc Chicken McDo and McSpaghetti or 2pc Chicken McDo with rice, complete with BFF Fries and Regular Coke.

For a delicious shared snack, those who constantly find themselves wanting to get their hands on McDonald’s World Famous Fries paired perfectly the Coke McFloat, Coca-Cola drink topped with soft serve vanilla and chocolate syrup, the BFF Fries and Float combo is theirs to enjoy for an affordable price of only Php 150.

For deliveries you can call 86-2-36  (8-MCDO) or log on to www.mcdelivery.com.ph to enjoy quality time with your friends over the newest BFF Bundles. Tell us how you’re celebrating real-world connections by using the hashtag #BetterTogether.
