'Call Me Papi' Finally Will Be Shown in Cinemas After Years in the Making

After years in development, the film 'Call Me Papi' by Feast Foundation and Viva Films finally has a release date in cinemas. This project which stars Royce Cabrera, Enzo Pineda, Albie Casiño, Lharby Policarpio, and Aaron Concepcion, directed by Alvin Yapan. This is a barkada movie that shows the life of cramped life of boys who become close friends.

Being a slice of life which many can also relate to the struggles, fun, pranks, and living conditions that seems like an extended family. Each of the main characters have their own struggles and which they serve as a support group to each other. With the mix of their colorful personalities and stories, it is expected to bring drama ang comedy to its audience.

World Vision invites you to join its 1st Virtual Run for Children

World Vision in the Philippines has recently launched its 1st Virtual Run for Children. The goal of this event is to promote fitness and health during the community quarantine in the country while raising funds for the benefit of World Vision’s most vulnerable children and communities.

Due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, marginalized Filipino families especially children are the ones most affected. Their basic needs such as food, hygiene, and education are all compromised. By mounting a virtual run, World Vision aims to contribute in addressing these problems. Participants are encouraged to run for a cause that will reach communities all over the Philippines without them having to leave their homes.

"World Vision is excited for its first-ever virtual run for children. It is our prayer that friends and families will be refreshed as they continue supporting the most vulnerable children. In these trying times, we hope that this will also provide them with an enjoyable, safe and healthy way to somehow reconnect in a virtual manner," World Vision National Director Rommel Fuerte said.

Sunshine, Raymond and Enzo Makes Bold Cinemalaya Statement With "Malamaya"

As one of the competing films for the 2019 Cinemalaya, the film Malamaya (The Color of Ash) wants to make a statement with the directors, story and their cast. Making her debut with the film festival is Sunshine Cruz and Enzo Pineda and also joined by Raymond Bagatsing. Directing this are two impressive women  Danica Sta. Lucia and Leilani Chavez. 

Danica is a producer and video editor while Leilani, a soap opera writer and journalist. The film is first time in making their full-length film. They point out that Malamaya is a Tagalog term for the color of ash or gray, which is quite a contrast to the colorful world of art showed by the three main characters.

ABS-CBN offers another touching story of a child who will remind viewers of the importance of forgiveness in the new series, "Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit", which will be seen in most countries outside the Philippines via The Filipino Channel (TFC), with its pilot episode streaming simulcast its local airing via TFC Online (www.TFC.tv) on March 25 at 11:30 A.M. (Manila time).

Introducing a new show is already a something to look forward to, but what makes it more exciting is an introduction to a new star that will pave the way to her own career in show business. ABS-CBN's new show Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit is set to do that with the lead star Sophia Reola who plays the role of Mikmik that the public will find adorable, witty, and lovable.

Premiering on March 25, "Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit," is directed by FM Reyes and Marinette Natividad-de Guzman and stars RK Bagatsing, Cristine Reyes, Kaye Abad, Enzo Pineda, Pilar Pilapil Ces Quesada, Matet de Leon, and Keempee de Leon. Also joining the daytime series are child
stars Heart Ramos, Miguel Vergara and Krystal Mejes.

REEL DEAL: The Basement REVIEW

One of the scariest places on earth is definitely the underground floors. And it is indeed true as many horror stories and unsolved crimes happens to occur in the level. And this has been the inspiration for the latest horror movie "The Basement". This movie took some years for its completion due to the stellar cast of Kapuso stars with many of them are very busy with their shows and commitments.

The story revolves on the unusual situation of being trapped in the basement of a building, each having their own business and some on their way home when tragedy strikes and they are stuck inside the creepy basement to which is the home of a mananangal.

Juan Minute: Enzo Pineda Celebrate Birthday With Fans and Kids

Kapuso star Enzo Pineda recently celebrated his birthday with fans and underprivileged kids in Alabang elementary school in Munintlupa. As one of the lead stars in the GMA Afternoon Prime show "Kakambal ni Eliana" and also an endorser of brands like Unisilver, Flawless and Bench, this Starstruck Avenger has been well received and has been a loyal Kapuso through the years.

Though being in a hectic schedule made him very thankful for what he has achieved right now. He also has an upcoming show, "Dormitoryo" which will air soon weekly, makes his calendars booked for tapings and also ready for his commitments with his brands. 

Enzo is not just brands and shows,he is also an ambassador for Children's Hour with fellow Kapuso stars. And as this would be a first time for his birthday, he is looking forward to have this kind of celebration every year.

REEL DEAL: My Kontrabida Girl REVIEW

This March GMA Films brings you into a very fun story of love, revenge and a whole lot of face slapping. My Kontrabida Girl brings together this generations hottest stars into a romantic comedy with Rhian Ramos as Isabel, the country's most loved/hated kontrabida. Aljur Abrenica as Chris Bernal, Isabel's Childhood friend.  Also adding to the kilig factor are Bea Binene and Jake Vargas. 


My Kontrabida Girl (MKG) also bring together the starstruck avengers like Enzo Pineda, Ken Chan, Kevin Santos, and Sef Cadayona as the "SK Boys" , Chariz Solomon as the assistant of Isabel. There are also special guest appearance here by Gwen Zamora (The Witness) and the icon of Pinoy Kontrabidas, the one and only Bella Flores.


Isabel known to be the best in the antagonist of her generation but when her villainous appeal slightly goes down, she goes on a personal retreat to  her old town and met with her childhood friend Chris who is one of the reason she became a kontrabida. 


Now with them reunited, the challenge of love goes beyond her role as a villain and makes their lives, and the lives of their loved ones into a complicated situation that can either make them or break them.

This March, GMA Films offers a one of a kind Romance comedy that bring together young and talented actors and actresses of this generation, My Kontrabida Girl. Starring Aljur Abrenica, Rhian Ramos, Bea Binene, Jake Vargas, Enzo Pineda showing on March 14, 2012. And to prepare the way to the nationwide premiere, we join the cast in one of their mall tours in SM City Novaliches.
Though I have attended a lot of mall shows before, this would be one of the biggest and craziest I have ever experienced. First it has attracted  a lot of people as the activity center is indeed a big venue perfect for these kind of occasion.
