REEL DEAL: Kid Kulafu REVIEW

Manny Pacquiao's monumental match with Mayweather maybe the most pivotal moment in his career and we have seen dozens of Manny tribute movies, documentaries and even TV shows. But what really made Manny who he is today? With many of these stories starts with his beginings in his boxing career, it has less known to the public how he started in the mountains of Bukidnon, his family's migration to General Santos and who introduced him first to the world of boxing.

These questions will now be answered by the upcoming film KID KULAFU by Paul Soriano. Based from Manny's ring name when he started out. Kid Kulafu or Emmanuel Pacquiao is played by Buboy Villar, known for his child sidekick roles and now a teenager and back on the big screen in a leading role. Buboy does have that resemblance of the young Manny yet imitating the moves and speed of Pacman is never a simple feat. 

REEL DEAL: Scott Eastwood Stars In Nicholas Sparks’ Romantic Novel “THE LONGEST RIDE”

“The Longest Ride” received early rave reviews stating that the movie is the best since Nicholas Sparks’ blockbuster hit “The Notebook.”   Starring Scott Eastwood whose role in the movie marks his entry to Hollywood’s top lead male actors in the years to come, “The Longest Ride” spans decades of two love stories intertwined that explores the challenges and the magic of new and enduring relationships.

Directed by George Tillman Jr., Scott Eastwood stars with Britt Robertson in “The Longest Ride” set in North Carolina, where in the present day, Luke (Eastwood), a bull rider, meets Sophia (Robertson) an art history student. Sparks fly and they embark on a relationship despite having little in common.  Driving along a country road, Luke and Sophia save the life of an elderly man (Ira played by Alan Alda) who crashed his car, skidding off the road in stormy conditions.

These are some of the best words that describe Palarong Pambansa.  One of Palaro’s highlights over the past years is the Special Games category where children with special needs (CSNs) are able to showcase their sporting talents to the community.   

The Special Games are composed of Athletics (100M, 200M, 400M, 4X100M, Shot put, Running & Standing long jump), Swimming (50M Backstroke, Breastroke, Freestyle), Goal ball and Bocce – a ball sport closely related to bowling.

In Marvel's “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the Super Hero dream team must reassemble in order to stop the terrifying technological villain Ultron who's hell-bent on human extinction.

The decision to give Ultron his day in the sun as the villain of the film was always Joss Whedon’s first choice despite the end sequence in Marvel’s “The Avengers,” which featured the character of Thanos. The writer/director explains, “For me Thanos was always meant to be in the 3rd Avengers movie because he really is a god,” explains Whedon. “He is like a supreme being of evil and for me it was the cosmic cube because I’m really old; for some people it was the infinity gauntlet, but the great crossovers were usually Thanos-based and he made everybody’s lives miserable. And so the idea that he was the prime mover behind all of this just seemed natural.”
