“Hello, Love, Goodbye”: Finding love, pursuing a career, and life happening in between

The characters of Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards faces a dilemma that will either make or break the life they have long planned in the upcoming Star Cinema film, “Hello, Love, Goodbye”

Love and career are two of the important things that most people consider in making major decisions in their lives. Most generations were asked which they prioritize and often their answers vary—but what does the younger generation get to say about this topic?
TFC asked two young overseas Filipinos to answer the question “what will you choose, love or career? Why?”

Snooky, 27, from Japan, chose career. She explains: “Love can come anytime, while you have to build your career from scratch until you reap what you sow. Also, frankly speaking, nowadays there is a bigger chance to find an ideal partner once you are financially stable. It makes me feel happier and satisfied to attain my personal goals in life first before settling down.”

Fate Smiles On Mark Oblea

As a contestant on Pinoy Boyband Superstar, Mark Oblea was called the “Kwelang Bad Boy ng Bacoor.” But while it’s true that he got into his fair share of trouble when he was younger, he isn’t all bad. The truth is, under his leather jacket and tough demeanor beats the heart of a responsible, softhearted young man.

Case in point : when Mark was eliminated during the grand finals of the show, his first thought wasn’t for himself or the opportunity he lost. It was for his family. His burning desire to give his mother and siblings a better life was the main reason he joined the competition in the first place. “Sila talaga ang nasa isip ko the whole time na lumalaban ako”, Mark says.

His thoughts also went to his mother who had been a struggling single parent. Mark promised her he’ll take on the responsibility of being the breadwinner for their family. It was then that Mark decided to establish a showbiz career. He believed doing so was the fastest way to secure his family’s future. However, finding success as a performer proved to be harder than he thought it would be. Mark went on many auditions but he always came away empty-handed. He also performed whenever and wherever he could, booking gigs at town fiestas and the like.

MUSIC LYF: Callalily - Flower Power BlogCon and Listening Session

To tell you the truth, years ago, I was not a fan of Callalily, thinking that this would be just another band that gives a generic type of music for a generation, but then I was wrong. Giving myself to listen to the music that they make made me realize that these guys do make good OPM music.

Callalily consists of Kean Cipriano - Vocals,Tatsi Jamnague - Guitars, Aaron Ricafrente - Bass, and Lemuel Belaro - Drums. They were known for the songs Stars, Take My Hand, Magbalik, and  Pasan. Things might have became busy with the band with a lot of exposure to TV and vocalist Kean Cipriano also having acting roles in series and movies. His other bandmates also became busy with their other day jobs. Despite this set up, they still remain intact as a band and now has released a new album  entitled FLOWER POWER. Also this will be their new album as a they are now under Universal Records.

Luckily, they had a Gloc-9 Bloggers' Conference in cooperation with Pinoy Magazine, Franci Magalona Clothing Company, Lionheart.tv and Universal Records.
