HEALTHY LYF: How Kelly Misa keeps it light

Kelly Misa has been a commercial and ramp model for over a decade now but there’s no stopping this 32-year old proud Filipina from doing more, while keeping it light. A columnist for the Philippine Daily Inquirer, a beauty editor of Look Magazine, the creative and content director of her own website kellymisa.com, and quite recently, the host of lifestyle show, Trending Now airing on ANC—Kelly is on top of her game.

But to do all these and more, Kelly accepts all the help she can get. For one, her husband, Carlos Fernandez, who has always been supportive of all her endeavors, is a reliable partner in running the household, adjusting to his wife’s frenetic schedule.

Kelly also relies on her trusted health supplements, such as C-Lium Fibre.  C-Lium is made from 100 percent fiber derived from the psyllium plant. She has been using this product for more than three years now, a habit she picked up from her father who, after a heart surgery, has become an advocate of healthy living. “It does wonders for my health,” she says of C-Lium, “and I personally feel the difference. Whenever I take it, I feel lighter, more energetic, less sluggish.”

REEL DEAL: Best Selling Novel “IF I STAY” Enthralls In The Big Screen

Sometimes you make choices and sometimes they make you. For reserved high school cellist Mia, it comes in an instant. One snowy drive, one horrific accident, and she is forced to make a choice only she can make, one that will make this day Mia’s defining day.

That is the storyline of New Line Cinema's “If I Stay,” director R.J. Cutler’s adaptation the New York Times best-selling novel by Gayle Forman. Forman’s book has gripped Young Adult readers around the world with its enthralling love story and its unflinching look at what one young girl would do in the face of a life or death crisis that suspends her between this world and the next and presents her with an impossible choice…to stay or go?

REEL DEAL: Meet Shishio, Ruthless Villain in “RUROUNI KENSHIN: KYOTO INFERNO”

A powerhouse cast of famous Japanese actors is assembled by director Keishi Otomo for the epic action thriller “Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno,” the first of two sequels to the 2013 blockbuster “Rurouni Kenshin.”

Appearing for the first time opposite the hero Kenshin Himura (Takeru Satoh) as the crazed Makoto Shishio is the popular character actor Tatsuya Fujiwara. Performing in hot, heavy, stifling bandages that even make it hard for him to hear, he becomes the personification of pure evil. And Fijiwara gives justice to the role with a powerful, terrifying performance.

REEL DEAL: FX TEAM OF “PLANES: FIRE & RESCUE” FUELS `HOTTEST' ANIMATED FILM EVER

From the beginning, Disneytoon's “Planes: Fire & Rescue” was destined to break new ground. “Not only is it the biggest visual effects movie we’ve ever done here at Disneytoon Studios,” says producer Ferrell Barron, “nobody had ever really attempted to do an animated movie featuring fire of this magnitude before—the size, scope, scale and frequency of smoke and fire in this is really extraordinary. So the first thing we had to do is dig into the effects side of the film, because it was so important that we get fire right. It had to be real.”

John Patton was tapped as the effects animation lead for the film. “Out of 1224 total shots in the film, more than half feature some kind of effect: fire, smoke, water. And ‘fire’ is in the title of the film—it’s a key element in the story—we had to make sure we nailed it.”
