Misa De Gallo Diaries 2012 - DAY 3 - FAMILY

First Reading: Jeremiah 23:5-8

Psalm: Psalm 72:1-2, 12-13, 18-19
Gospel: Matthew 1:18-25

The third day of Misa de Gallo Diaries was indeed a busy one as I was so busy with school, then events on that day that I almost dread that I won't have the energy left to go on the Simbang Gabi. Looking at my schedule for today, I would have completed everything by 8-9 PM which I hope can lend me some time to attend an anticipated mass at a nearby parish. And since I am in the Tomas Morato area, the only church I know in the vicinity is the Sacred Heart Parish.

After the evening event for the Bloggers' Conference for si Agimat, si Enteng Kabisote at si AKO with Vic Sotto. One of my blogger friends, Pepi (kampeonngpagibig.com) joined me to attend the mass at Sacred Heart. However we missed most of the liturgy of the word which was about Joseph is bethroted to Mary (who is 15 years old back then) but when he knew that he is concieving a child, he planned to secetly leaving her which puts Mary at risk of being stoned to death.

But of course this will never happen as an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him of God's plan for the baby which was Jesus. And thus the start of holy family of Jesus, Joseph and Mary. It caught my attention when the priest said "Susmaryosep" which is common word when suprized or in trouble. But the priest said that in sometimes we invoke the holy family to help us in our endevors in life (Although, I would not use "Susmaryosep" which is a compressed version of Jesus, Mary and Joseph). Which also reminds me that my parents were wed at Holy Family Parish and their wedding anniversary is on December 28th. Thus the theme of today's Misa De Gallo Diaries, FAMILY.
