MYMP Is Back With A New Single “Di Mo Lang Alam” Under PolyEast Records

Acoustic Pinoy fans are in for a treat this 2023 as MYMP is back with a new single and tries something new for their loyal fans and also might gain new ones too. Renewing their partnership with PolyEast Records, they just released their new single "Di Mo Lang Alam" which is now available in streaming platforms.

This milestone is made memorable with a launch that was held in Supersam Quezon City wherein they revealed more news and upcoming projects with the new MYMP. Juliet Bahala comes back as the female vocalist for the group and now is joined by her sister Ethyl which brings more vocal dynamics with the group and also a new take with their classic songs.

Beyond the years, MYMP has become a household name and a favorite for generations which many have become OPM hits and has been played and sung by fans.  Produced by Chin Alcantara and written by vocalist Juliet Bahala, she shares that “it talks about the little things we do, the little ways we create just to be noticed by someone we like - even if the world might not be in our favor sometimes.”

In addition, MYMP explains that “‘Di Mo Lang Alam’ is a phrase we often use to say when we are trying to hint at someone that there is more to the surface than meets the eye, whether it's a negative or a positive thing. In this song, it's the latter.” 

Cedric Escobar Is Ready To Bring Feels With "Di Na Ba"

From singing at gospel choirs and entering competitions in the USA, particularly New York, Cedric Escobar really puts his heart in his passion for music as he comes back to the Philippines and start his musical career with PolyEast Records. The 23-year-old artist is set to make a mark in OPM with his heartbreaking ballad titled ‘Di Na Ba.

Though he wanted to go to music school, his parents opposed his plans which led him to go with a medical course at Queens College, New York. However, this did not stop him to pursue his passion which will come in an unexpected opportunity.

Zsara Tiblani's New Music Video "Mr. Disco" Features A Special Cameo

Zsara Tiblani  is back with a new sing and a new dance craze with her version of the classic OPM hit "Mr. Disco." Known as the Best Dance Recording Artist in the 34th Awit Awards in 2021, Zsara continues with more music with this second single under PolyEast Records.

Her playful rendition of the dance hit also comes with a music video that weaves a story along with the song. Directed by Tristan Cua of Mobile Filmmaking Philippines, it brings the elements of the song into a cute and funny interpretation along with the groovy feel of Mr. Disco.

As the song implies, "Mr. Disco" is also an important caharcter for the music video which both of them will have a special connection from their childhood. And as they grew and found themselves jiving on the dance floor, Zsara and Mr. Disco finally meet again. And it was revealed that Mr. Disco is played by online sensation and content creator, Albert Nicolas or also known as Asian Cutie.

Her fans have been clamoring for her new musical release after her last album  "Magandang Simulain" in 2017. This year, she opens up to her musical plans that includes moving to London.

She recently launches her lates single "Kapalaran" which is co-composed by her friend Alwyn Uytinco and also joined by Juan Miguel Severo. The single is now available in Spotify though the music video is waiting to be filmed soon. 

Drei Raña Is The New OPM Artist To Watch Out For

It has been a while that we had fresh new faces for OPM. Not that we have a shortage of it, but they are just waiting to be discovered by music labels because of their talent, and with a lot of great talent out there it is indeed a competition. Finally PolyEast Records is now introducing their newest talent Drei Raña.

Though he looks like a simple guy with his guitar, his musical talent is charming and soothing that is what many love with OPM right now. He started with posting acoustic covers that gained millions of views, he also writes his own music.

Drei is a graduate BS Travel Management at the University of Santo Tomas and also won Mr. Tourism and Mr. UST in the year 2016. Aside from writing songs or singing with his guitar, he also enjoys cooking, beatboxing and dancing. 

Joaquin Garcia Launches His Album at Resorts World

We love it when we have Pinoy representative to WCOPA, and more when they bring home victory yet we have to appreciate their voice and talents to more people. One of these talents is Joaquin Garcia who originally was part of That's Entertainment in the 90s. Naturally inclined to music, this was the talent he is proud and he developed through time. Despite not going all out to skyrocket his career back then, he aimed to improve himself as a person by continuing his studies and graduate with two degrees. 

Glaiza De Castro Officialy Launches Album "Magandang Simulain" At Her "Kung[g]diman" Concert in October

Multi-talented artist Glaiza De Castro returns to the music scene with the release of another distinctly aesthetic OPM album titled, “Magandang Simulain” distributed by PolyEast Records. Glaiza’s new album will be launched with a special concert for her fans on October 27, 2017 at the Music Museum. 

Expect a night of Glaiza’s tribute to the musicians all the way back in the 70s thru a concert titled “Kun[g]diman” produced by Glaiza herself together with PolyEast Records. Glaiza’s special guests will include rock icon Mike Hanapol and rapper Gloc-9. 

“Sa panahon kasi ngayon all of us have our own issues to think about, sometimes we forget how truly blessed we are. So through my songs I want our elders to remember what it felt like noong bata pa sila. ‘Yung pakiramdam ng walang problema at umasa sa mga kababataan.” she shares.

TJ Monterde dominates Billboard PH charts with four hot singles!

Acoustic pop balladeer TJ Monterde’s albums, produced and released by PolyEast Records, have each officially landed four singles at the peak of the weekly Billboard Philippines Top 20. 

According to Billboard PH, four of TJ’s singles have entered thr top charts in span of five weeks. Recently, “Tulad Mo” from his CD single released in 2015 is sitting atop Billboard Philippines Top 20 at #2. While the song “Dating Tayo” (2016, Self-Titled Album) also at #6.  

Another hit culled from the 2016 self-titled album is “Ikaw At Ako Pa Rin,” TJ’s duet with soul singer KZ Tandingan is also enjoying its #12 position. TJ’s debut single in 2013 which led him to stardom, “Ikaw At Ako” coming in at #14 giving the singer its 4th top 20 entry on the latest Billboard Philippines weekly top charts. 

Pop Soul Princess Sassa debuts solo album, “Sassy Sassa” with single “Kumakaba”

After being supported by millions of viewers on The Voice Kids PH Season 2, finalist Sassa Dagdag or simply ‘Sassa,’ releases her physical and digital debut album titled “Sassy Sassa” under PolyEast Records. 

The 14-year-old pop star showcases her world-class vocals - often compared to that of international superstars Alicia Keys and Beyoncé – by taking on a very full and sultry character in her album. It consists of five tracks including her first single, “Kumakaba” written by Arnie Mendaros. You can check out the official music video up on the YouTube Channel of PolyEast. 

The whole album exhibits a contemporary feel starting off with a mid-tempo, blend of pop and R&B in the first track, “Itatago Na Lang”. Meanwhile, “Parang Pag-ibig” penned by Jungee Marcelo exquisitely displays Sassa’s voice quality in a jazzy tune coupled with a lazy rhythm. The fourth track exuding pop feels is titled “Dyan Ka Lang” written by Kiko Salazar and completing the album is a slow ballad titled “Forever Love”.

Karylle Hold Free Post V-Day Show At Technohub

Valentine’s Day may be over, but that’s not stopping Karylle from sharing her gift of song to her many fans.

The Showtime host will have a free show this coming Thursday evening, February 16, at the UP Technohub fountain area.

Performing with her KPH Band, Karylle will reprise her catalog of original compositions from  her album, A Different Playground. She is currently in the midst of her promotional sorties for her latest single, Baliktanaw. 

Karylle happily reports that the Singapore run of her suspense/crime/action series, Private Investigator (P.I.) has just ended. The series started airing last January 9 via Singapore’s Mediacorp Ch. 5.

Rainy days and Lazy Sundays are days worth being laidback and listening to great music, and it is also the perfect time to listen to the smooth and cool voice of TJ Monterde. As an artist under PolyEast Records, he released his first album "Ikaw At Ako" which included six OPM classics and 5 original songs. 

This time TJ brings in a new single "Tulad Mo" which will premiere on the on PolyEast Records YouTube Channel on August 15The new song was written by our singer-songwriter himself and recorded at the Studio 1103 in Panay, Quezon City “I came up with the melody last year but the lyrics came in later when I met my inspiration. I write all my songs and I really enjoy the whole creative thing-- I've always loved doing it. But the process of writing this song makes it more special because of my girlfriend.” TJ added.

MUSIC LYF: Karylle scores gold for ‘K’

Singer-actress-TV host Karylle received a Gold Record Award for her latest album “K” yesterday, December 4, during the live episode of “It’s Showtime.” PolyEast Records’ Managing Director Jesmon Chua presented the award.

The album includes the hit singles “Sa ‘Yo Na Lang Ako,” “Kiss You,” “Kapiling Kita,” among others.

“K” celebrates a number of firsts for Karylle – joining a contest and collaborating with a cousin-rapper.

“I’ve never ever joined a contest before, but it was worth it because I got to sing a beautiful song – Lara Maigue’s ‘Sa ‘yo Na Lang Ako,’ which everyone loves,” expresses K. “I am also thrilled big time that I got to collaborate with one of my favorite rappers – my cousin Dash Calzado.”

The singer-actress also thanks Kiko Salazar for turning an unfinished “Kiss You” to complete song, and for contributing “Kapiling Kita.” 

Karylle adds, “This album is extra special because of a million reasons. It was a reunion with my first two producers Ito Rapadas, who produced ‘Sa’Yo Nalang Ako’ and DJ MOD, who remixed ‘Bad Boys.’”

MUSIC LYF: Silent Sanctuary Releases New Single "Sa'Yo"

After the success of their first 2 singles from their album “Monodramatic”, Silent Sanctuary returns to their roots of bittersweet melodies with the release of their new single “Sa’Yo”. The 4-minute song, according to songwriter Sarkie Sarangay, was inspired by a friend’s story of being uncertain in this thing called love. It has two versions in the album, the full band and the orchestral version.

After a long break from releasing music, the country’s R&B princess Kyla is back full force with a stronger R&B sound and a passion for showing emotions through her music. Her debut in 2000 up to this date have talked so much celebrated as one of the most uniquely talented artists of her generation, but the new album “Journey” via PolyEast Records proves that she still holds the title.

MUSIC LYF: MYMP Celebrates A Decade In Music With "Electrified"

MYMP has been part of our lives especially the students and the yuppies of today. With songs that have touched the lives in one way or another continues to reinvent classics and original tracks that tickle our heartstrings.

Now they are back to celebrate a decade in the OPM music with an anniversary album “Electrified” released under Galaxy Records distributed by PolyEast Records. Containing 2 original tracks and 8 acoustic rendition of classic love songs perfect for easy listening.

Though there have been a lot of changes in the group, struggles and hectic schedules, MYMP still proves and still consistent with the brand of music that many have loved. MYMP consists of Chin Alcantara on guitars and vocals, Jana Laraza on vocals, Ibey Haber on bass, Hannche Bobis on keyboards and Joel Tolentino on drums. For this album, Jana is introduced as the new female vocalist. She was discovered via her covers of MYMP hits in soundcloud.

MYMP is also making waves in other countries too like South Korea and Indonesia along with fellow OPM artists who are very successful in the region. They are also looking forward to release their album soon in these countries this year. 

“Our music and concept in our previous albums were always centered on the acoustic sound and in this album we would like to introduce to our listeners our new "sound". Instead of just being "unplugged" or being limited to acoustic guitar, we wanted to be amplified hence the term "electrified".  We wanted to add more electric instruments and other instruments as well. We wanted to explore“ said Chin Alcantara, MYMP’s band leader and vocalist.  

Karylle wishes everyone ‘Sweet and Spicy’ New Year

For most of us, wearing Polka Dots during the celebration of New Year has been a tradition. 

With the forthcoming celebration of the New Year, singer-actress-TV host Karylle gives a new twist to the tradition by coming up with a “Sweet and Spicy” twist to it. Karylle’s  “Sweet and Spicy” underwear line for Bench highlights her different personas – the sweet Showtime host and the spicy underwear Bench endorser.

MUSIC LYF: OPM Artists Record "The Prayer" For Yolanda Victims

On October 15, 2013, an earthquake with the energy equivalent to “32 Hiroshima bombs” devastated the Visayas, and parts of Mindanao and southern Luzon.

Two days later, the Loboc Children’s Choir sang, “The Prayer,” with the rubble of the hundred year old Loboc Church as their backdrop.

Their performance moved so many people here and abroad. Then, tragedy struck again.

On November 8, Typhoon Yolanda, the most powerful tropical cyclone of the year hit East Samar, Samar and Leyte.

Thousands died. Millions were left hungry, desperate and homeless.

Relief efforts from the Philippines and the rest of the world are currently helping the victims survive and find temporary homes.
